Last cycle I used OPK's religiously. I bought a box of 7 (they were more expensive than I thought they would be ) and I went through 5. I had 2 very positive looking tests. So, should I buy another box this cycle? What would you do if it were you?

I order mine online because they are much cheaper that way. This cycle I didn't know we were going to be looking at my LH surge, so I didn't get to order online. So, I purchased the Answer ones from the store. I think I got 30 for $20 at Walgreens. They are just the strips you dip. Good luck hun.

OPKS don't work for me.. lol... I use a CBEFM... but if you wanted to spend less money I'd order them online.. I got a pack of 50 for 18$ (shipping included on Ebay)

I just used the Answer Dip Sticks. They're 20 for $17 at Walmart. They expire after 30 days, but OPKs tend to expire pretty quickly. I don't like the packs of 7 because it's just 7 tests. If you surge moves just one or two days you may not have enough and you'll need to buy a second box in one week. They're just too expensive for that I think.

This is great info. I was going to ask where people get their OPKs and what kind. I've never used them, but want to next cycle if I get AF so I know exactly when the Clomid makes me O. FF and I are having a bit of an argument about that this month

I get them at Target & here in NY, it's 7 for just under $15. They're the generic CBE brand. They've always worked well for me. I also have used the strips when one of the girls on another board sent them to me after she got pg. Those were fine too.

If you have a rough idea of when you O, you can use the 2 remaining OPKs just before you think you'll O & you shouldn't need another box. For me, I usually know about when I'll O every cycle so I don't test & test. I was just super anxious this month But if you aren't sure, better to be safe than sorry.. just buy more.

I got a box of 7 with the hopes I won't need to buy more next month. It cost me $11 I think.
