Don't laugh - I'm really green when it comes to sewing. I have little experience and I'm doing my best to try. I know the purse picture appears more purple, but I had to adjust the color so you could see the actual purple in it. The natural light was washing it out in my house. I have one more thing to make, but I'm going to look for some material later.

Travel pillow

Purse

Pillow - and yes, that is my very first attempt at hidden stitching - it got better with the travel pillow.

Good job! The fabric would still be folded if it were at my house (or better yet it would be at MIL's house with a pretty please note for her to sew it for me). LOL! If it isn't a button or a stuffed animal (or dog toy) I don't even attempt to sew it!

Very cool! I only sew when I'm really in the mood or really stuck for something! LOL. Nice work!

Nice job. I'm not much of a sewer either. I can do simple things, but I have a hard time with everything else. I usually call upon my mom or aunt to help me.

LOL - well I broke two of my sewing machine needles yesterday. That's a first for me. So, you can see that it didn't start out so well. I'm going to make a blanket today and work on making pillow covers for our guest bedroom. It's done in a red that DH's mom put in there, and I don't like the comforter, etc. So, I found a perky fabric while I was out with my mom and I'm going to use it to make pillows and change it up in there. DH's dad (divorced from mom) is coming in July, so I want the room to be different and feel more alive. Hopefully, the cats won't try to run off with my thread today...

My dh bought me a sewing machine for my birthday and I have done a few things, curtains, jeans hems etc, but the funniest was when I was sewing a flannel, and the little cat ate the bobbin (it was a small cardboard one) but I was looking for it, and dh says, the cats got cotton hanging out her mouth, so he started to pull, and pull and pull!! the poor little thing just sat there until he pulled it all out!!
