I went to the er last night because I've had something going on with my foot. It's been red & swollen & in a lot of pain (near the heel & side of my ankle). I haven't even been able to walk w/my foot flat on the ground. Since I need to find a new PCP, I figured it'd just be easier to go to the hosp instead. People were guessing a fracture, tendonitis, insect bite.. you name it.
Well they ruled out a fracture (x ray & I was practically wearing a lead coat LOL) & they don't think it's tendonitis. So they figured it's some sort of infection and prescribed antibiotics. I told them we're ttc & I'm waiting to find out if I'm pg... well now after seeing today's temp, I know for sure I'm not, but last night, it still seemed there could be a chance. So they said they'd prescribe category B antibiotics which would be safe during pregnancy (Keflex).
But get this.... the dr says to me, "You're young & healthy. There will be plenty of time to have children. Right now, it's more important you get this healed".

I didn't even have a chance to say we've been trying for TEN MONTHS now!! He was really nice & I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it, but I was stunned to hear something like that. So now, I have a new phrase to add to my list of annoying things people say while you're TTC
