For those of you who are lucky enough to get cramps with AF, when do they start for you and how long do they usually last? How would you describe them? I'm curious if I'm alone on this one...


I cramp most of the time as it is. I can only think of a few months lately where I haven't cramped the week before AF came. I don't recall the cramps last month, just the early spotting and then I knew I was out. This month, I have been cramping since I guess Monday night off and on. Some are really strong stabbing pains, some are dull aches and pains.

I usually get AF cramps the day before she shows. They are in a different place than other pains/twinges that I have during the 2WW...its more in the center and lower.

I hope your cramps are the non-AF kind!!!

I am no help here!!
I am lucky enough not to get cramps. However last month i had them so bad. It was the worst pain. I am hoping this isn't going to be a new every cycle thing

I have gotten them as early as two days before, but most of them time I guess it's about 12 hours before AF arrives.

Once in a while I'll get them the day before AF arrives, but most of the time, when I go to the bathroom & discover AF waiting for me, that's when the cramps kick in full force. Last cycle was so bad that I was living off of Advil, Aleve, Tylenol...whatever I could get my hands on. And I had the heating pad on 24/7. It still didn't make a dent. My cramps are usually always crazy painful.

I usually get them the day before AF shows her face....they SUCK!!! But I can definitely tell the difference between them and O pains or things like that....I hope these arent AF cramps for you!!! Good Luck!!
