Today is CD 16 and my fourth month of using OPKs and my OPKs are getting lighter. Started testing on CD 10 and I havent gotten a positive yet. Last month I started testing on CD 15 and never got a positive, Figured I just missed it. The month before that I didnt test ONE day CD 17 and figured that was when I had Oed. I did get what I thought was a positive the first month on CD 17.

IM really scared that I dont ovulate. Im terrified of being infertile. DB wants children so badly.

I never even IMAGINED it would be like this.

Sorry this is frustrating for you. OPKs measure a certain level of hormones. Your hormones may not reach the level needed to register on your OPKs, but you could still be Oing each month. You may want to start temping to see if you have a temp change. That may help clear things up for you. Hopefully you're Oing.

I agree with celry!

You may also want to see your dr. They can do blood work and will be able to tell if you o. It's pretty simple. I did my BW today.

I never get a positive with an OPK (or haven't yet).. but my charts show that I O *nearly* every month.. I'd suggest talking to your doc about it and investing in a ClearBlue Easy Fertility Monitor

I have never gotten a positive opk either, and I've been using them for 7 months. I O on cd 14, temp rise on 15, and the opks start getting darker on about cd 12, then they approach positive, but the never actually get to be a true positive, where the test line is darker that the control. This is testing 2 times a day, as well. I questioned my Dr about it last time I saw him- his response was that the most important thing was to know that I was ovulating, which I can confirm by a biphasic chart and a regular cycle. I have read where some people have a really sharp LH surge, meaning there is a very very small window in which a test would come up positive. I'm just assuming that that's my situation, although when I'm really discouraged about being on my 7th month TTC, and I start to question what is wrong with me, that is one thing that nags in my mind (not getting a positive OPK, that is)

I think the other ladies made good suggestions. Some women just don't get + OPKs. Or *their* + are just having a line at all. Technically, it's + if the test line is the same color or darker than the control, but for some women, they don't get a line at all unless they're about to O.
I agree w/the charting. That's helped me tremendously. Everyone made good suggestions. I hope you can get some answers soon!

Thanks ladies, I have tested twice today and....nothing. The last time there is almost nothing at all.
I think I will try the temp thing starting on CD 1. Since I usually have a 30 day cycle, I still have a bit to go.do you ladies think I should call my DR now, or when Af shows????

(((hugs)))) I know its scary and frustrating!!

I agree that charting will help you out a ton. I have only gotten 1 positive OPK ever and it was just luck I guess.

I would wait to call your doctor.

Keep us posted!
