Thumbs down...for me personally I was always afraid it would be some sort of jinx. (I'm weird that way!!) The only thing I bought prior to getting my BFP with Bailey, was a onesie that said "I Love My Daddy" - that's how I told DH that we were expecting. Other than that, I waited until my 2nd trimester to buy anything.

I personally say thumbs down, not because I dont want, but because for one DH would kill me (he thinks its bad luck) and two if for some reason I didnt get pregnant soon looking at all the baby stuff I have would just make me more sad and depressed...

Ditto. When I got preggo a few months ago, right away I ordered my son a shirt online that said "Big Borther to be" but by the time it got to my house I had had my misacrriage, and it was pretty rough to have to put that away for a while. I won't buy anything again until I'm in my second trimester.

I did this too...when we started TTC #2, I made Bailey a t-shirt through my cafepress store that said "Big Sis 2008"
It broke my heart when I had my m/c and then again when we passed the 2008 due date timeframe.
I do a lot of "window shopping" online...its amazing how much new stuff has come out since I bought stuff for Bailey in 2005/2006

Thumbs down. I'm superstitious too & I think I'll jinx myself if I buy anything. I just have 3 onesies (2 from a SS exchange & 1 I kept for myself b/c it was too cute). They're in one of my dresser drawers in a bag on the bottom of the drawer so I don't see them. But sometimes I forget & come across it when I'm looking for something. It just makes me sad that they've been sitting tucked away in a drawer for so many months.

Thumbs up. I do like to *at least* look, and if I see something really cute on clearance, I will buy it. I just have a handful of onesies that I have bought. And then all the baby stuff my brother and SIL gave me.
But I want to be able to buy all the "big stuff" when I am pregnant and know the gender.
I'm glad that I bought a few onesies for Thomas while I was pregnant. Even though it hurts that I didn't get to use them on him, I keep them in his memory box. I'm glad I have some things that belong to just him. I can look at them and smile because I remember how happy I was the day that I bought them. Next time I get pregnant, I may buy a few little things in the first trimester, I just won't go hog wild. If I lose the baby, it's going to hurt no matter what.

I kinda go both ways on this. I haven't ever bought baby stuff before until this last week. I bought a cloth diaper - it's in excellent used condition, and then a brand new small wet bag that someone was getting rid of. I wanted to see a cloth diaper in person and I don't know anyone who does it. So, I'm totally in love with the little cloth diaper. The wet bag was just because I had a meltdown and I loved it and DH said he wouldn't look at me crazy like he did when I ordered the diaper. I think he was just trying to be sympathetic...lol. For whatever reason, I won't let myself buy anything else though. I do want to wait until we are pg before I buy anything else, including more diapers.

I did it once, but it makes me very sad. I don't think I can do it again, maybe not even until I am inot the second trimester just to make sure.

Thumbs down. (Although I'd like to!) I'll have 9 months after my BFP (or less), no need to start now. Baby fever is bad enough

Thumbs up.... I love to look and research and see what's new so I can be ready for when I get my BFP. Plus, we threw superstition out the window when my brother and SIL gave us everything from when their boys wre babies. It's in a storage unit. We figure that it's smart shopping if we see something we really really love at a great price (or free from your family LOL). That way we don't have to fork out a ton of money over the course of 9 months while we are pregnant.

I do a lot of looking online and when we are out, but I wonīt buy anything until we get a bfp.
I already have a few things that people have given us, but I donīt think that counts.
We have painted the spare room blue, and we are going to buy a wardrobe and some drawers, but we would have had to have bought furniture wether we were ttc or no, so that doesnīt really count either!!
I love to look at the baby clothes and prams/cots in the shops etc
I donīt think its bad to shop beforehand, but I donīt want to get my hopes up.

Thumbs down for me, just because I haven't bought anything yet, and I figure why start now. I'd be afraid I would want to shop baby stuff all the time....I'd definately get addicted.

Thumbs down. I have a chemical imbalance that makes it extremely easy for me to slip into a depression and while TTC'ing I've found I have to hide everything baby related. If I see any of it in our home (crib, bottles, onesies, etc.) I spend several days depressed at the very least. Mentally I just can't handle it.
