Okay, since my thyroid issue, I have had super dry skin, especially on my face. That's why I'm having an even more difficult time treating the acne issue because my skin dries out really bad on the RXs and then it just gets worse. So, today, while I was at my training, I notice that my skin is awfully shiny, so I blot it with a piece of toliet paper and all this oil just comes off. My skin hasn't been that oily since right after my surgery for about a week. WTH is up with that? Like I just want one more stupid thing added to the Tami's monthly list.

Does anyone else go through such a drastic skin change before AF comes?

I used to have fairly normal skin...when I got pg with Bailey my skin was super dry. Now it tends to be combination in the t-zone.

I hope the skin change is a good sign!!

I'm telling you I could probably oil the doors around here with the oil from my face. I just don't remember it being this oily since my surgery. I was super shiny after my surgery...lol. I'm chalking it up to a new monthly symptom. My body LOVES to surprise me with new stuff...lol.

I get acne but I haven't noticed a pattern as to when it my cycle it gets worse. I guess I need to be paying attention to that.

I hope yours is a good sign.

I wanted to say this when I read your "so cute" post, but maybe you are pregnant. You are sending out the vibes. I have really dry skin and it never gets oily before AF.

Mine's combination, but I notice it gets pretty oily just before AF.

I hope this is a good sign for you!!

I have really dry skin normally, but right before AF I get a few annoying breakouts and the skin around my nose gets oily. I do remember someone on JM (Can't remember who for the life of me) got a huge zit right before she got her BFP and that was very uncharacteristic for her. I hope that maybe this could be a good sign for you!!!

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure I'm not pg. I tested this morning and it was BFN. I'll do it again in the morning and it will probably be the same. So, I'm just chalking this super oily skin up to a new cycle thing and formulating my plan.

Personally, my skin always get more oily before AF, and I always get a couple pimples here or there. Hopefully for you though, it's a good sign. Good luck testing!

I completely understand that some people get oily skin before they start. However, tell me how this makes sense. My skin because it is always so dry is flaky on my face. Y'all know what I mean right? It goes between that and just dry, even with moisturizer. Yet, some moisturizers just make my skin worse.

Anyhow, I woke up this morning with super oily skin again. It's been like this for a couple of days now. I washed my face in the shower and was looking in the mirror and realized that despite ALL that oil, my skin is flaky because of how dry it is. I swear my body likes to mix stuff up. And, I just checked - I can wipe oil off my skin and m fingers are super shiny!!

I guess I need to call my dermatologist and ask what I need to do about this oil, even though my skin is super dry. This is so stupid. GRRRR!!!

I always get a really shiny face right before AF, and I hate it! I hope this is a good hormonal changing sign for you though! I use Clean and Clear oil absorbing wipes. Try not to use your fingers to wipe it, because you will end up breaking out. Honestly try these wipes..they're up there with one of the best inventions ever!!! You just blot your face with them, and they suck up all the extra oil. My face is always so dry and peely if I don't put on water based moisturizer...but about an hour after washing my face, I its super shiny...stupid oily dry skin! lol I hear ya!
