I just don't know what it is yet! He said, for sure, it's gonna take meds if I want to ovulate (he's pretty sure that, because of my crazy cycles, I have PCOS). Sooo.....he gave me a prescription for Metformin and I start that now since I'm on CD 50 something. I also had blood drawn and DH has to go in for an SA next week. I am really nervous. I hate taking medication for anything and here I am looking at a bottle from Wal-Mart that says "carry or wear medical identification when you are taking this medication" Great!

The whole time we were talking, my doctor seemed pretty sure it wouldn't take much, but he did warn me that it could take a couple of cycles to get the magic combination. He said once AF comes I have to come in for a sono. If everything looks good, we start Clomid and then he wants to go ahead and do a trigger. It's moving so fast and I am so nervous!

Well, I'm glad he gave you Metformin and is active in working on getting you knocked up darlin! I think that the warning is because this med is used for people who are diabetic. You might ask your doctor. It was on my bottle when I took it, but I didn't carry anything. Maybe I should have...

Keep us posted on how the meds treat you.

It can be scary at first, but it can also be very relieving to get some plans. Sounds like your doc has some great plans for you and is going to really monitor how your body is reacting to things. Good luck.

That is great that your doctor has an aggressive plan for you!!

I know it's scary - but at least you are getting answers that will help you get that BFP!

Meds can definately be scary, but I think it's also a good feeling to know that a plan is in place. Good luck!

At least you are getting some answers and have a proactive doctor. Just remember, if you feel things are moving so fast, you can slow down. Take sometime to think, and jump back on the train. You ALWAYS have that option. Right now you are probably feeling overwhelmed because it is a lot to take in at once, but Im sure in a couple of days, when it all sinks in, you will feel more relaxed about the whole approach. Good Luck!
