SO, I wanted to know if dh's results are good. Any opinions? I haven't made follow up with RE yet. Next week hopefully.

My dh's sperm count-50.0 mil/mL

Motility A 65%
Grade B sluggish/slow-9%
Grade C 4%
Grade D which is non-motile-22% (YIKES)

Morphology-89% (normal is >30% oval heads)
Only weird thing is his pH is 8.5 (7.5-8.0)

I tried looking up info on internet.
Any opinions? I dk what the prob is with us. One yr now of trying. UGH!

My levels-

prolactin 8.1
FSH 6.8
estradiol <10

I guess the only way to ease my mind is to talk with the RE.

Gosh I don't know!

I did a little research and found this - which was interesting:

PH
Normal is 7.2-7.8, which is alkaline. A higher pH is associated with an infection in the prostate. The pH of the vaginal tract is low (acidic), about 3-4, while the pH of the pre-ovulatory cervical mucus is generally greater than 7. Sperm in the vagina does not last longer than 1-2 hours. In the pre-ovulatory mucus sperm can often survive for 2 or more days since the pH and other mucus characteristics are friendly to sperm.

So...basically if your CM and his sperm are not similar in PH, then the sperm can't survive.
