Sorry I haven't been around much today. Last night was the worst night of my life. I am going to post this and then head back to the hospital. I will read all the posts tomorrow when I get off work.

First off let me just say my sister has many health issues and is sick a lot and has been rushed to the ER by ambulance close to a dozen times

So last night my sister and I went to the Brad paisley concert. It started at 7:30 pm. By 8:30 my sister was telling me that she was really itchy and couldn't breathe. I didn't think too much of it because i was itchy too. Also the fog in the concert hall was really bad. She kept asking me if her throat looked swollen. I told her it didn't but if she wanted to go to the bathroom I would take her. Well another 30 minutes or so went by and i noticed her ears were really swollen. I asked her if she felt ok and she said no. She couldn't breathe. So i got her up and walked her up a ton of stairs. She hardly made it. When we got to the top of the stairs she said her heart was racing and she need to lie down. Then she started saying her throat was closing up on her and she needed water. She was not looking good so i asked her for her epipen. I rushed her to first aid and by then she couldn't talk or breathe. Her throat was closing on her. The stupid guy there didn't know how to do an epipen and my dumb butt never learned either. My mom is always with her to do that. Well i was freaking out because she was about to pass out. Then the ambulance EMT’s showed up. THANK GOD!!!! They started shooting her up with their own stuff and rushed her to the hospital. Her throat was swelling completely shut. The ambulance ride was the slowest time had ever passed in my life. I was freaking out as i watched my sister almost die. The lady EMT kept giving her shots of crap and would tell her in 2 minutes she would be better. Well 2 minutes would pass and nothing. I could see the lady EMT panicking and my sister was freaking out too. I had to stay calm. It was so hard. The lady EMT keep looking at the Male EMT that was driving he would mumble something to her and she would say it wasn't working. Then he said not to give her anything else because it could cause her to go into cardiac arrest. By this time i was begging God not to take her life. Her throat swelled so much that her spit couldn't go down her throat. The poor thing was covered in breathing tubes as all this spit was coming out of her month. Right then i thought she would die. That's when we pulled into the hospital. As soon as the doors opened to the ambulance i ran out to my mom who was waiting there. She saw my sister and started crying and shaking. I told her to look away and they ran her into the ER. Only one person could go with her so i hugged my mom as she went to be by her side and I went to the parking lot. I got down and prayed. My husband then pulled up and i broke down and cried my eyes out. Then i called my dad who didn't go because he knew only one person was allowed back. I told him everything and he told me that if my mom called him to tell him my sister was dying i had to go straight to the hospital and my husband needed to go pick up my grandma and bring her to the hospital. Those words broke my heart.......

She is stable today She is very sick from all the shots and meds she was given and her chest is very sore and tight. She is alive though and right now that is all that matters. She hasn't said much today. The one thing she did say is that she knew that she was going to die in that ambulance.....

So on a better note i thought i would post some concert pictures form last night....

Before the concert at my house.

While we were there...

Julian hough from dancing with the stars. She was really good

chuck wicks!! He was so cute

We were so luck to be only 2 seats away Jewel was there too but i didn't get any good pics!

Thank you all so much. Thanks for the prayers too. I really appreciate it.
I will up-date this post tomorrow. The scary part about all this is the Doctors have NO CLUE what makes her get so sick like she did last night. I am praying they find out soon becuase this is the worst episode she has had by far. I am so scared that next time she will die.

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry you had to go through all of that - but I'm so glad that you were with her and she wasn't alone!!

Don't worry about a thing here...we're self sufficient. Go be with your sister and your family.

I will pray that she gets better and they can figure out what is going on. ((((hugs)))

BTW - the pics are awesome!!

She has had these before but never ever this bad. Her face usually swells up so much you can't see her eyes. It's really gross and scary. Last night was so different though. The Dr.s don't know what it is. All they said was she must have an airborne allergy to something. They then when on to say alot of times they never do find out what it is

I'm sorry that all of you went through that. It must have been nothing less than horrible. Did they find out what was in that fog machine? I've heard of people having bad reactions to them before and since you were itching as well I'd put my money on whatever the machine was loaded with. Please keep us posted.

I agree with MamaAnna ,something in the fog machine to blame!
Im so glad you were there,it sounds like your fast thinking and acting saved your sisters life!
Im sure everything will be fine now that she is in recovery and hopefully they can put their finger on what the allergy is.
Quite an eventful night though Jamie and not one you will forget in a hurry!!!
Best wishes to the whole family, and by the way..............pics are great and the two of you are stunning looking girls.

I agree about the fog machine too. Even the EMT said it bothers alot of people.
The fog from it smelled so nasty that night. Maybe i should have my mom call and see what they say about it.

OMG! Thank goodness she survived and is doing better. I really feel for you, I have been in the same situation of a sibling dying before your eyes and just hoping and praying that everything turns out alright. In our case it didn't But I am so glad she is doing better and you seem to be doing better too. Very scary stuff KUP!
