I just saw a new commercial for FRER which said something like, "our test is so sensitive it can detect pregnancy five days before your missed period"... Ahh! Another media attempt to make getting pg and finding out you're pg so easy a child could do it!

They never mention UP TO five days... And how the chances don't make a test Five days before all too accurate... They just make uneducated women think that they can POAS and boom-- AUTOMATICALLY know-- if they're pg.

Yeah those commercials are really irritating. Why don't they mention that by five days early it actually means the fourth day before you expect your period (I think the wording is misleading) and that most of them are only 46% accurate at that point if at all and that depending on the implantation date it may not have even implanted yet so there's nothing to detect? Ugh! Idiots.

Yeah, the side of the box tells the accuracy for each day of those five days before your period. It's extremely misleading.

Ahhh...the joys of advertising. I'm sure there is some super tiny fine print on the bottom of the screen with all the accurate info.

I always crack up at the pharmaceutical commercials where they say "side affects are rare, but may include death." Ummm - HELLO! Death is kinda a big deal, you can't poo-poo it like that!

Yea i agree...............I think we are all blowing this TTC out of proportion.
You see,the adverts say.........................Just once , possibly by accident and BAM..........................buy a PG test 5 days before you are due a period and quick as a flash you know you are pregnant!!
I think we are all just far too tense!!
