Did you breastfeed #1? When you or baby weaned did you ever dry up? If you got a BFP after your LO was weaned did you leak?

I am asking because one of my breasts leaked this morning. My son weaned himself almost a year ago (11.5 months and he will be 2 in August). I never dried up, never really went down much in breast size, etc.

I am wondering if this could be a sign/pregnancy symptom for me. My breasts have been heavy, tingly, and sore off and on for the last couple to 3-4 days.

I dried up after my kids weaned. I didn't leak when I got pregnant again, but I've heard of that happening to other people. I think your breast symptoms sound like a really good sign. When are you testing?

My bb's dried up...I haven't had any leaking yet.

I will probably use a $ Store test Wednesday - but I am going to try to hold off to use anything other than $ store till Friday (unless I get a faint positive with the $ store test of course!).

I tried to BF DD, but the hospital gave her a bottle anyways and after that she just wouldn't do it. They also gave DS a bottle straight away so he wouldn't. However, after I started to dry up I did leak for several months after DD. Just a little fluid, nothing major. The same happened with DS. Definitely not as long after as what you're experiencing. It's my understanding that elevated estrogen can cause some leakage. My OB told me at my last visit that if I ever experience anything like that to get checked out because it can be a sign of something good just as easily as it can be a sign of something bad. I'd call your doctor just to be on the safe side. If you were planning to test Wednesday maybe see if you can be seen Friday. That way you can get checked out just to be safe and if you are pregnant they can do a test of their own if they want to confirm.
