I went in to the dermatologist and he said he was going to give me a steroid cream to use for two weeks. He said if it's not better in two weeks then to come back and then he'd do a biopsy.

But he thought it was probably just contact dermatitis/eczema based on the way it looked and my age.

He saw on my chart that I was TTC and was worried about giving me the steroid cream until I told him I was already having to not TTC this month because I was getting the Rubella vaccine. So he said "oh then this is a good month to get treated for this!" I'm glad of that at least, my mom pointed out that I would have been ticked if I had had to avoid for a month due to the rubella vax and then another month due to the rash. At least this way I am getting all of this stuff out of the way at once.

I'm still a little nervous about the rash, but I'm starting to relax a little.

I got the MMR vax today too and holy crap it stung! Now I know why those little babies that get it start wailing.

I still feel pretty...emotionally fragile...could be the term, I guess, about everything that's going on in my life right now, so I'm hoping I can start to feel better during this month. Everything sets me off these days like even seeing little babies in the grocery store.

Thanks to all of you SO MUCH for your thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate it!

I hope that the steroid cream does the trick and that's all you need to clear this up! How great would that be! I'm glad that your Dermatologist was thoughtful enough to consider your TTC and the meds. It's great that you'll only have to sit out 1 month and can get all the things you need to taken care of!

I'll still be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!!!

It sucks you have to deal with these things, but like you said, it's a good thing they're happening at the same time. It's good to know the doc thinks it's just a rash.

I'm glad the doctor thinks is just a rash! I hope the cream works and then you can move onto your next cycle.

Isn't it crazy how shots hurt! I got a flu shot last year and I thought my arm was going to fall off!

You think the flu shot hurts, you should try pre-exposure rabies vaccines. We all had to get them Freshman year of vet school. It is a series of three shots and they alternate arms because it makes you sore so for so long. Of course you are still sore from the first one when you alternate back to that arm for the last one. I really should get my titers checked to make sure I don't need a booster, since that was six years ago. But I can't get one for a while anyway, so I guess I will continue to put it off.

I am glad you are getting everything done all together. I thought my doctor told me I would have had to wait 3 months to TTC if I had needed the rubella booster. My titers were good and I didn't need it, so I don't know for sure though. I hope everything works out and you are back to TTC next month as planned.

I read that they used to recommend 3 months but now they say just 1 month. I'm glad for that!

I'm glad you have a thoughtful dr I hope you'll be feeling better soon & that this next month goes quickly for you!

In my experience, the tetanus shot hurts the most! We had to get the MMR titers at work after the measles (or was it mumps?) outbreak a few years ago. I don't remember what it felt like though. I know I'd gotten it when I was a baby.. I thought it was required before going to school
