well tomorrow is the day.... I'm going to see the Gyno to talk about what to do with this whole TTC and not getting pg business.. I'm bringing my charts with me, since they show that in the past 4 months I've had 2 short LP's and 2 months where I didn't ovulate at all.. I'm kind of nervous, and don't really know what to expect, esp since it's my first time ever going to this gyno . So wish me luck.. I'll update when I get home.. (appt is at 1)

Ok. so I went to the doc.. got back hours ago, but DH wanted to go out lol..
Well I got taken right back. weighed and my blood pressure taken.. everyone was really nice.. The Doctor then comes in. We talk about infertility and the causes. He asked me a bunch of questions. I told him I chart and showed them to him. He was really impressed that I was so on top of things and said everything I'm doing now is what he would have originally recommended. He's concerned about my irregular cycles (anywhere from 19- 43 days). He was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. He then did a pelvic exam and said everything felt normal. I got about 8 vials of blood drawn and have an appt to get a transvaginal ultrasound to make sure everything looks ok.
The plan is... to keep trying for the next two cycles with my CBEFM and timed intercourse. If we're not pregnant by then to call and make a new appt (sooner if my blood work and US come back abnormal). At this point he's going to get more aggressive. We spoke of a getting a HSG done and another SA on DH and of course fertility drugs. I'm a little disappointed that he didn't want to do anything more aggressive now, but I understand his reasoning for it. He's pretty confident that I will get pregnant shortly, esp since I've gotten pregnant before, he knows my body's capable of it.

I'm glad they are checking everything out! He sounds like he's very apathetic, which is good!
I hope your u/s and bloodwork comes back ok. I'm sure with 8 vials they'll be able to test for anything under the sun!!
When is your u/s??

O yeah.. wanted to share with you guys...
My doc was telling me about other patients he had (no names.. all confidential still).. But apparently he has a couple who've been trying for 6 years to get pregnant (according to the female).. well when he talked to the guy he learned that he's been deployed for basically 5 of those years and is gone 2 weeks every month usually when she's ovulating.. Isn't that horrible?

Oh that is sad.
But on the other hand...I have a friend who's DH was on leave from Iraq, he came home for 1 week and they (obviously) DTD during that time and she got pregnant. There daughter was 4 months old at the time too!

Just popping in to say good luck and that I'm glad you have a plan. I know it always feels better to be moving in the right direction. I hope you don't need any aggressive treatment because you will be knocked up soon!
