Hi all, I have officially been ttc for over 6 months now. I am ttc #1, on C7. I'm 34 y.o. (35 on April 1), and DH is 43. I have not used birth control for many years now. We've always just kept a close eye on my cycles. My cycles are pretty regular (27-30 days), LP is around 12 days or so, and I recently got checked out by my GP and no thyroid, blood sugar, liver or kidney problems. I have an appointment with an OB/GYN the end of February because that's the soonest I could get in.

I worry about endometriosis, because my sister had it, and I have symptoms for it (bad cramps and the big D during AF, weight gain, etc.). We also haven't checked out DH's sperm counts yet.

Most people have told me it's too early to worry about infertility, but I don't want to try another 6 months and THEN find out I have a problem, you know? DH and I are not spring chickens, and I don't want to be in my late 30's and just starting to deal with any problems.

Anyway, no questions, I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone.

Carrie

Welcome! I hope it's a short stay, but in the mean time, these ladies are great company!

Thanks for your introduction, Carrie. Welcome to the TTC 6+ Months board. No one WANTS to be here, but it's not a bad place to bide your time while you wait for your BFP. Just look--Sandy couldn't even leave us after she got hers!

I think that it's a good idea to go in to the doc if you suspect endo or something else along those lines. It's always good to know what you're up against, and perhaps you can even learn how to control it. I've known about all my various repro problems since I was in HS, which may give me a running start. Unfortunately, though, nothing seems to help and I think that the docs get sort of tired of seeing me, so I get little help.

Like Missy said, I hope that yours is a short stay, but make yourself at home while you're here!
