If anyone is interested, Newseek had an article this past week about how it is a misconception that having kids makes people happy. Just thought it was interesting to read so if your bored, you might too. (Warning..the author of the article does not have great things to say about what it's like to be a parent, which I'm hoping won't offend anyone...I just thought it was an interesting article. I hope it's ok that I posted it here.)

I don't agree with most of the opinions in the article, and I'm sure most of the other moms with kids on the baord will agree. I think having a kid is harder than anyone can envision, and that if you aren't happy when your kids come along, they certainly won't change that. But I also think the article kind fails to point out how amazing it is to see the word thru the eyes of a little child, especially when you've had to try so hard for one like most people on this board are trying right now.

Yeah that article is def. anti-parenting.

I think the big thing is that raising a child these days is not easy. There seems to be so much more craziness in the world today. Hell when I was growing up we didn't even lock our front door. Now doing that is insane. As parents, we obviously worry about our children and there is tons more things to worry about now.
