I’ve been meaning to post but I’ve been really busy at work the past two days.
I love my doctor! He is so funny. He walked in and said to me, “We need to get you pregnant”.. he asked what my last cycles have been like, and I had written down the past 5 months- which have basically been ovulating on CD14-CD16 and 28-29 day cycles. I asked if something could be wrong b/c of the miscarriage, and he said it could but he didn’t think so since I was ovulating and having good cycles. Then he said, “I think we need to get your rooster checked out”. I was like, “what?”. I was cracking up! He said, “Your rooster- you know, your hubby- he needs to get a semen analysis done”. Then he told me since I was on CD11 he wanted to do a progesterone test so they drew my blood. He also said he wanted to check for thyroid issues. Then he told me to come back first thing Monday morning for a post-coital exam. I asked him what that meant and he said basically we have to do the deed and then I come straight in for an exam. So that is our homework- to have lots of fun this weekend and hopefully I will ovulate Saturday or Sunday, and then do it one more time Monday morning and head to his office again. He said after that, Kenny can go in for the SA and then he gave me a brochure of the fertility clinic here in case it comes to that. He just really wants to rule everything out and get to the bottom of it. I am so glad he’s being so aggressive and taking me seriously. I feel some renewed hope after seeing him- but he always make me feel so much better!
The funniest part of it all is we’re having company this weekend.. our good friends are driving thru as they move from Chicago to Dallas along with their 2 year old. I told DH we’re just going to have to tell them we’ll need some alone time- I know they will understand b/c they had fertility issues before they got pregnant with their daughter and went thru a lot of the same stuff. It’s just all very comical to me!
Oh, and I should say, DH is being a very good sport about it all. He jokes around but he's very willing to do whatever it takes. He keeps asking me, "are we supposed to do it tonight?"..
