OK just thought I'd share a few stories and vent a bit about each:

Funny story:
First let me say that I work with majority men. So saying that, my male co-worker see's that I have "justmommies" on my favorites so he askes, "Why do you have Just Mommies on your favorites? You aren't a mommy?" I said "Well, I look at the forums on there and we have been trying to have a baby for like 10 months now!" So what does he do??? OK a woman would say "Oh I"m sorry to hear that and maybe ask what's going on." NOOOOO, a man just logs onto his computer and shows me all these million pictures of his baby!!! I had to laugh because it's just the mentality of men. I mean if I've been trying to get pregnant and having problems, why in the world would you feel the need to show me all the pics of YOUR baby??? I had to laugh a little tough!

Not so funny story:
Let me add here that I am a detective. So without releasing a lot of details one of the squads was telling me about this woman who basically gave herself an abortion.........just that in itself makes me sooooooooo angry but her reasoning is even worse. Just days before she "lost" the baby she had an ultrasound and they told her that it was a boy. She cried hysterically and said she only wanted a girl. Then mysterially a few days later she "lost" the baby!!!! I was sooo unbelievable angry. I'm glad I wasn't here to have talked to that woman, but I just couldn't imagine the nerve or how in the world someone could do that.

Anyway, I just thought I'd vent a bit and share some stories. Thanks for listening.

First of all, that's awesome that you're a detective! I guess I should be on my best behavior since you're 30 minutes away!!

Your story about the guy doesn't surprise me. There are only a couple people at work that know we're TTC, they are good friends of mine and understand. If I told my (male) boss, he would just give me his "well don't let it take away from work" speech - ummm...like I'm going to BD at work LOL!!

The other story....let me just say that it makes me ill. The woman is obviously in need of help and I pray that someday she finds healing. It leaves me speechless, which doesn't often happen!

The other lady, WOW, I just can't even begin to imagine how someone could do that?!? That just flabbergasts me...unbelievable

Yes, I completely agree!!! If I would have had to interrogate that lady I would have wanted to strangle her!!! Good thing I didn't!!!

Yes, my job is interesting, but also stressful at times! Never a boring day in good ole KC!!!

As far as my co-worker! I do laugh. You would think I would be used to it, but it still amuses me!!! Gotta laugh at em!!!
