Hi Everyone. Sorry i havent been around much - i've been in TTC board alot. So i'm on my first ever dose of Provera. I am supposed to take it 10 days and then within 10 days AF is supposed to come. Well, what if she comes now - when i'm only on day 4 of the 10? Should i stop taking the pills or continue to day 10?

She's not here yet - but i've started spotting. Has this happened to anyone else? I am so hoping that i can get back on track after this Provera. I doubt it though - nothing seems to go right. Any one have success stories?

One of the side effects of Provera is spotting, so maybe that's all this is...I would keep taking it until you actually get full-blown AF. I certainly hope this works for you, Carrie!

I took Provera last month to jump start my cycle. I finally started on day 76. I was hoping that it would get me on track this month too. I am now on day 21 I think though and no ovulation. I know some people don't ovulate until day 23 or so, so I'm hoping! I just don't have a good feeling. Good luck though! I would definitely take all the Provera. My pharmacist made sure I understood that!

I am on prometrium, which is round aboutly same thing as provera, (they both are ment to bring on af) except provera is better because af comes a lot sooner on provera than on prometrium....anyways, it is my understanding that if you do start af while on the meds, you can discontinue it. It won't hurt anything to stay on it though.

I had the same questions earlier this week and on the ttc w/ medical assistance ladies helped me and told me the same as above!

My problem with my meds are i spot, but nothing more....stinks!!

Good Luck!

Thanks everyone. Well, AF finally came yesterday. Yeah! It was just about day 60 i think. I had just taken Provera for 7 days. Oddly enough the pharmacy shorted me some pills though, so i only have one more for today. Guess i'll take it to just finish what i have. i am hoping to that it will regulate my cycle from now on, but we'll see.

Thanks again for your input. You all are so helpful!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Hooray for AF!

I understand the awful feeling of the suspense of not knowing WHAT your body is going to do from day to day. Congrats on starting over!
