Hi ladies,

It seems like I'm full of "down in the dumps" posts lately and this is another one. As I posted before, I have Lyme Disease, which can cause serious neurologic, joint and heart problems if it is not treated. About a week ago I found out that I still have it, even though I have had the standard course of treatment and should be cured by now. Since AF showed yesterday, the doctor started me on another, more powerful antibiotic that cannot be taken during pregnancy. I take it for 3 weeks, so I'm already out for April. I have an appointment with a specialist on August 1. Hopefully, he can figure out a way to get me 100% healthy again. I know my first priority needs to be my health and I NEED to beat this before TTC, but I'm not a patient person. Even though I'm only starting cycle 8, the emotional roller coaster started a year ago (a long story for another time). I think my TTC journey might be coming to an end. There will already be 4 years between my kids and the age gap will just keep getting bigger and I am getting older. Ultimately it is in God's hands, and I struggle ALL the time to be at peace with that.

I don't think I'm going to be on much in the next few months. I hope when I do come back ALL of you have graduated to a DDC. Thank you all so much for your friendship, cyber-hugs, and support. You are all a truly fabulous group of women.

Jen: I am so sad to see this message!!! You are right - your health has to come first. Perhaps you can take the time while you're being treated to soul search and can make a well thought out decision about your TTC journey.

Please don't feel that you have to leave. Of course we all understand if you need to take a complete break from TTC altogether. We will be here when you return, please check in to keep us updated on your health.

I will pray that the treatment takes care of the disease and you can make peace with whatever decision is made.

tons of hugs!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that you will be taking a break. It's completely understandable though as your health is your first priority. I hope that your Dr can get everything under control really quickly so you can get back to TTC if that's what you chose to do! I'm sure you and your DH will do what is best for you and your family. Sending you lots of and a reminder not to be a stranger! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

I´m sorry you have to take a break, but your health is the most important, even though its ruining your wish for another child. The age gap between your children isn´t that important, there are 9 years between my sister and I and we were very close, and now I am just as proud of her, she is 21 and just graduated as a midwife. I also hope that you drop in from time to time and that you come back soon with a full bill of health after making the decision you are most comfortable with.
