After a very long and frustrating conversation w/ my doc yesterday, we decided I should have an hsg done. We held off the first 2 rounds of clomid since I'd been prego before and I don't think insurance will cover it.
During our conversation my doc said "at some point we'll have to put an end to this". She meant that I can't take clomid forever, which I totally understand. I do think the way she said it was very tasteless and I'm on third round. It's not like I've been on it for 6 months.
I have mixed feelings about the hsg. I'm glad I'm getting it done so I have a better idea of what my situation is, but I'm not looking forward to it. At least it's at 8:00 am, so I won't have to think about it all day. I asked for the morning off of work and my boss told me to take the full day if I want it. I've never taken a sick day in the 5+ years I've worked for my company. My boss knows something is up, but doesn't know what since he works in another state and rarely sees me.

Your doc doesn't seem very nice or sympathetic. Maybe you should consider switching, that would drive me nuts, especially the waiting for a phone call. It's good you're having that HSG done, you will be able to put your mind to rest and figure out the next plan of attack. Has DH had his SA done?
Don't worry about the test at all, it's a piece of cake. It's similar to having a pap so nothing to worry about there. Good Luck and KUP.

I'm so glad that you are having a HSG. Hopefully you will get some answers and put your mind at ease. I'm sorry that your doctor wasn't very sympathetic to you.
I think you should take the whole day off...you deserve it!

Thanks gals
I'm not looking forward to the procedure itself, but I'm sort of excited to see the pics. I hope they let me watch.
DH did have an SA done a few months ago. He passed with flying colors. My progesterone was super low before the clomid and I Od really late. My LP used to be 10 days at the longest, usually closer to 8. I'm hoping we just have had back luck since I started the Clomid and that there isn't anything else going on.

I'm sorry your doctor isn't being very supportive. That really stinks.
I think having the HSG will be very helpful, it will help make the picture clearer on what is going on. PLUS - I've heard that some ladies are more fertile afterwards! I hope you are one of those ladies!!
That is awesome that you haven't taken any sick days. I think you are long overdue! You should take the full day off and do something nice for yourself in the afternoon!
(((Hugs))) Let us know how it goes...

I'm sorry that your Dr is being frustrating! They should be there to ease your troubles and help you, right?
I hope that the HSG goes well. They say that you're more fertile the first 3 months after an HSG, so that could be good, right?! I hope so!!!
Hang in there! Good luck!

Thanks! I've also heard that women can be more fertile after an HSG. Hopefully that's true for m.

Just wanted to send you and let you know that it's really not bad, especially if there's no blockages. I just had one last week and it really was not bad at all. Just take something to help with the discomfort an hour or so before the actual procedure will occur. And it is pretty cool to get to watch the dye run through everywhere.
Hope you get good news tomorrow!!! KUP

Thanks! I'm not nervous yet and I only have about an hour and a half left to wait. I slept awesome last night. That's my first good night sleep all week. My clomid makes me sleep really lightly and I've been up practically half the night ever other night.
