We have a 10 year old Golden Retriever that we had to put down yesterday. She has had many health problems over the last two or three years we've been helping her fight, including lymphoma cancer, and she finally got to the point last weekend where she was unresponsive to anything and hadn't eaten in 5 days, so we made the decision to put her to sleep. It's a very sad day around our house today. She was a wonderful dog and happily put up with living with a toddler who didn't understand her fragile nature. I miss her so much already.
I'm sure everyone else has similar experiences losing a beloved pet sometime in their lives-just want to share mine. My heart feels broken right now.

I am so sorry hun!! I know how hard that can be. I raise shelties and in my years of doing that with my family we had a few that we had to put down! So sad, especially after being with them for so long!! Just remember that she is in a better place and will always be with you still....I hope your day gets better!

Oh I'm so sorry honey. Our pets are part of our family - I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like she had a great doggier life and now she's no longer suffering.
