Have you thought about nursery themes?

If so, what are some of your theme ideas?

I refuse to think about them until I get pregnant! I feel like I will jinx myself!

I haven't put much thought into nursery themes. We painted a room with a light green and that will eventually be the nursery. We picked the color w/ kids in mind, but only painted it when we did because we disliked the old color. I think we'll end up doing browns, greens, blues and pinks, but I don't know for sure. I won't be picking out anything or looking for ideas until we're prego.

If we don't find out the sex of the baby, then I want a ducky themed nursery. I love ducks, and I already have a lot of ducky items for the nursery, such as a night light and sheets. DF loves the idea. If we find out the sex and it's a girl, than lots of light pinks and probably butterflies or roses. If we find out the sex and it's a boy, I am still unsure.

Duckies would be SO cute for either a boy or a girl I think!

We are thinking for a boys room - either transporation or under the sea.

For a girl...we're not sure...Bailey's room is a garden/ladybug theme. There are some frog themes that are pretty cute too...

Same as AJ's - Winnie the Pooh (I got a bed in the bag set and some wall clings.)

For a boy, we're thinking of a modified sports theme. DH and I love Hockey and Lacrosse but there aren't many baby sets with that, so we'll most likely get a simple gingham bedding set or something fairly simple in pattern and accent with sports stuff that we find. My FIL makes these adorable coat hangers out of hockey sticks and pucks, so we'll have to have one made with kiddie size hockey sticks! LOL Whatever we use though will have to have a Baby-ish feel to it though!

For a Girl, we'll probably just do a simple pattern in fun colors. I'm thinking something along the lines of circles and polka dots in pastel colors. Who knows though!

I want a surprise (DH wants to know), so we have already painted the room (it was bare plaster when we moved in, soit had to be done). 3 walls are sky blue and 1 is dark blue. I have seen a really nice seaside theme, which is blue gingham, red gingham and red stripes with beach huts embroidered on it. I´m not really a pink/flowery person.
