I went to the ER again last night after not being able to stop throwing up. I was also in a ton of pain from my kidney stone. It took three hours for somebody to see me. Then they came and drew labs before starting my iv. It did not bother me, but I am a nurse and I always draw my labs when I start the IV to save the patient from a stick. Then the radiology guy came to get me for my scan. He asked if I could be pregnant. I told him there was a chance, but I thought that they did a blood test. He went to check and of course they did not.... not even with the urine sample I gave them. He told me they would add one to the blood they just took. Luckily, the nurse came and started my IV and gave me pain medicine. I had instant relief of pain. Then I did my CT and I still have a very large stone. I had to have the reports sent to my doctor who has been following me and my stones. Just wanted to tell you guys why I haven't been hanging out much.

I'm so sorry that you have been in pain! I hope that the follow up with your doctor will give you some answers and help to relieve your pain. I've heard that kidney stones are VERY painful and I'm so sorry that you are dealing with a large one.
