Hey guys, you may remember me from my last post...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Everyone,
I just need some advice on AF not showing up. I haven't seen the wench since September 13th. I'm kinda afraid to even POS because I dont think me and DH can take another BFN.
With that being said, my cycles have been acting up for months but I've never been this late. I'm not sure if I'm having symptoms or if I'm imagining them. I think I'm peeing more (TMI...sorry). My clothes are getting tighter (that could be because I've been pigging out of fast food). Seems like no matter what time I go to bed, I'm always tired (that could be the 55 hrs a week I pull in from work). I feel really gassy (could be the fast food). Other then these things, no other symptoms.
No implantation bleeding, no cramps, no morning sickness, no sore breast.
What do you ladies think?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I took a test which was BFN and on Dec. 8th I thought the cruel beast (AF) was on her way but false alarm, it was just really, really light spotting. So since then, STILL NOTHING! I have an appointment with my DR on the 30th and I hope everything is fine. I was supposed to get AF in mid october. It's now mid dec.

I took a first response test on the 8th. Should I test again with another brand? Is it possible that a test wouldn't pick up a pregnancy after almost 2 months?

I swear I am, I'm getting cramping and barely fitting into my jeans! My boobs are getting huge but if so, then why didn't the test pick it up on the 8th??

I would assume that it is possible. I think i remeber someone on this board never getting a + HPT, but having to have a blood test done for it to show up. Maybe that's the same case for you? At least you're going to the doc though and i would think that they will give you a blood test either way because if not pregnant, you need to be on Provera or something to help bring on AF. Good luck to you. I hope you get your BFP!

Some women never show up + on a HPT and are pregnant. It has to do with the way their body metabolizes the HCG. Since AF is so late and you have pregnancy symptoms - I would ask for a blood test and an ultrasound (I read of one lady who got BFN on both urine and blood tests, but an U/S confirmed she was pregnant). Good luck and lots of - I hope you get a

You can be pregnant and still got a BFN on the 8th I would test again with a equate ( walmart ) and make sure that you keep your Dr appt. I am sure that everything is fine but just go to make sure. Good Luck and please keep us updated.

I have to agree with the other ladies. Go to the Dr. if your still unsure of whats going on. Actually a few people in my family have been PG and HPT shows a Neg. Even a few pee tests at the DR's would show a NEG(I had a Dr. tell me once that their pee tests were not a lot diff. from HPT). They were Positive on a blood test though. Good Luck to you

Hi!

I just wanted to let you know that it is very possible that the only way to confirm pregnancy is by blood test. I am living proof of that. I've been pregnant 5 times and the only pregnancy to show on a HPT was the last one.

With all the others I had to have a blood test done to confirm that I was indeed pregnant.

So I'd go with the blood test. Good luck!
