I just got back from the doctors and it didn't really help or give me hope. She had me go to get blood taken for a thyroid screen and a CBC to see if I'm anemic. She also told me that it sounds like I did ovulate on Saturday and that in the past we've probably had an egg or 2 at least fertilized but since it seems that my uterine lining is shedding a little here and there throughout the end of my cycle (brown spotting) that the egg wasn't able to implant fully...I really would've been fine not hearing that. I mean I know that usually an egg gets fertilized but the fact that she said it could've started to implant but not been able to stay attached made me sad. Anyways if I do get my period in a few weeks I go back in for more bloodwork on CD 3 to check my hormone levels and then we go from there. She said if those aren't normal than she'll refer me to the Women's specialist on base and that she may put me on Provera but that I won't get pregnant on that...what the heck that's the whole reason I went to the doctor!!! UGH!!! Anyways that's my update and needless to say I'm a little frustrated with it!

I'm sorry about the appointment. I sometimes think that bedside manner classes should be part of medical and nursing school. When I had my miscarriage, one of the nurses basically told me I should be sad because the pregnancy was probably not viable from the start. I still think about that every day. If I hadn't been hurting so bad I would have said something to her. I still wish I had.

Hopefully they find something in your bloodwork that's quick and easy to fix.

I'm so sorry- that is horrible treatment. Bedside manner is definatly something they should be taught.
