I'm sorry that I haven't been around a lot lately... It's been a very crazy weekend and I just got home now for it all. We had a harrowing weekend:
Friday DH and I went out to dinner at a great Mexican restaurant and we had a really great time. We knew that we'd be busy on Saturday (his birthday) so I took him out to celebrate then. We stayed at my in-laws this weekend since everything that was happening was around that area.
Saturday was a busy day with some packing and cleaning at my in-laws old house (they moved several months ago, but left the attic still full and they are closing this week and had to get everything out!) and trying to make DH's birthday as special as possible. Then we went to a wedding reception for the afternoon and evening. We got home very late and had some cake and did presents.
Sunday we were up bright and early and had a huge group of people emptying out the old house. It took us all day and I was one of the special ones chosen to go in the hot attic. Being short has some disadvantages

I was the only one who could stand up in there! We had a fan going, but it didn't help much! DH and I were up there for a good chunk of time but we got everything done and we had a great dinner and more cake to celebrate DH's birthday.
Enter Medical Emergency here: It's 2:30 in the morning and my FIL comes knocking on our bedroom door going "Cris- everything is ok, but you need to come downstairs... Shawn needs you"

Ok... I didn't even know that he was out of bed! I ran downstairs and my in-laws were outside the bathroom. They told me that DH had been calling for me for a few minutes (our room is clear across the house and up a flight of stairs). I open the door and I see blood everywhere. Apparently, DH was heading in for a shower and felt lightheaded and passed out. He didn't fall too far, but he banged himself up pretty good and was covered in blood. He was awake when I got there but didn't know how long he was out for. With his parents help (and a creatively placed towel to cover his baby-making goods), we got him up and started to clean him up. Literally Blood was everywhere! We figured out that it was coming from his nose and he had bangs and bruises all over his face and arm. I kept telling him that we should get him to the Dr, but he insisted that he was fine. We are pretty sure he broke his nose and he has some major bruises and rug burns on his face. He still won't go to the Dr cause he's stubborn. We were up until 6 am controlling the bleeding from his nose and trying to calm ourselves down. We finally fell asleep about 7am. We got a few hours sleep and were back up cleaning and finishing up last minute things at the old house the next day. Fortunately his Aunt who is an RN came over to help and gave him a quick check-out and she thinks he's ok.
So DH took the past 2 days off of work, and I've really been trying to take care of him. He looks like one of his Lacrosse Players beat him senseless with a Lacrosse stick or he went 10 rounds with the NHLs biggest and baddest! He's feeling a lot better today though he still looks terrible.
Sorry about that was so long! But I'm back, and will do my best to catch up... I missed you guys!!!!
