Well I am back. Things went ok. My best friend came with me because my DH couldnt and I was really really nervous. Well, basically I went in and they gave me a bracelet and they made me sit there for like 30 minutes. So then we went back and I find out that they have a "training" nurse practioner that will be doing the procedure with my RE. They made me put on a hospital gown and lay down on the table and then they inserted the speculum and then the catheter. That hurt a little bit because they kept pushing on the top of my uterus. Then they moved me up on the table with the X-Ray machine and released the dye. I didnt get to see any of it happening but they showed me the pictures afterwards. I will say that that hurt a little bit. I got really crampy for about 5 minutes. Then the RE went over the results with me.

The size and shape of my uterus were perfect other than being slightly tipped to the right. The fallopian tubes were also really clear too. I had NO blockages at all which was a huge relief. But then he told me he was a little concerned about the pattern of the dye that was leaking out of the tubes around the ovaries. So he told me to go down to the other office and we would do a transvaginal ultrasound after lunch. So we went and got lunch and then headed down to the other office for the Ultra Sound. They actually ended up doing an external and internal ultrasound. And then the Dr. came in and discussed the results with me. Basically, they have no idea. Everything looked good, the only possible thing is that my ovary is slightly enlarged or something. Not sure though. Anyways, so now we are officially on to Injectables and IUI in September. The Dr. told me that our percentage with Injectables and IUI should be 40-60% success rate which is outstanding if you ask me. We also get another 10-20% chance with doing the HSG this cycle too! So total September cycle percentage for a BFP they told me would be 50-80%. WOW!! We were looking at 5-15% with Clomid. I will know more of what to expect next week on Tuesday when we go in for the injectables class. But I am super excited now.

I'm so happy that everything looks good!!! You must be really relieved! It sounds like you have some really great odds of getting that BFP with your injectables! I'm hoping and praying that this will be it for you!

Sounds like a really good appt. I bet that was a sigh of relief to find that you are going to have such a great percentage rate for your IUI. I am crossing my fingers for you!
