After you get your BFP, what will change? I know this seems like a stupid questions because EVERYTHING will change...but I thought A LOT about this yesterday. My sister's BF called me to come jumpstart his car without a second thought for what I was doing. My SIL asked me to babysit on Wednesday for several hours, again, without a thought that I might have plans already (and I do--hosting a dinner party!...getting all our shopping and wrapping and cooking done, too!). My sister and a friend get pissy whenever DH and I don't want to go barhopping or to hot springs or other things...and they keep trying to guilt me into it. And more.

I think (hope) that other people will accept that something is changing and be more respectful of my time and energy. I hope, too, that they will understand WHY I've had to say no to so many things.

I think that I will be more assertive when I am pregnant. I KNOW that they will not be as respectful as they could be, so I will have to tell them that I need rest, that although I hate to admit it, I will have to slow down (always the doc's reprimand).

I hope that DH learns to do more around the house. I take care of it ALL...repairs, car maintenance, cleaning, cooking, bills, events, shopping for everything, etc. His job starts and stops at a definite time...mine goes all day and I don't have help.

I can STOP TEMPING!!! Hehe.

Actually, that last one is a biggie. Hopefully, I will be getting more sleep!

I know that there are countless other things, but those were some of the bigger ones. How about you?

Like you said...alot will change. Some obvious - no more drinking, getting more sleep, eating better.

On top of those things, i to think i will be more assertive. I will tell work to shove it if they come up with crazy requests like they do now - set up tables and chairs for 50+ people and I'm a paper pusher people! I to will get on to hunny to help more if he doesnt volunteer, as we sound just like you. I will probably shop more than i do now - for two reasons. One - i'll want to buy BABY everything and two - because after i have the baby, i wont have alot of money to spend because we'll be going to one salary.

I would give up anything and everything though - just to have a baby!

I agree that when you have a baby alot changes...and most people are ready and willing for those change when ttc. Since I already have 2 kids that ar 9 and almost 8, I still have to get a sitter if we need to go out...cook all the meals...even thought they are somewhat independant with some things and can do lots on their own. I know that when and if we concieve I will have to start all over with the baby stages and toddler stage that Im now out of....but Im soooooooooooo wanting that so thats just fine with me!
