I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE FOR IT BEING SOOOOO LONG!!! SORRY!!!
OK ladies here it goes: OK the story of my life in a nutshell?! Gonna be harder than I think. I was born on October 20, 1978 in St. Louis, MO. My parents were still together at that point. Funny story: I was talking to my mom about how she knew she was pregnant and if she had any morning sickness. She stated that she didn’t even know she was pregnant until she was like 3 months along! Can you believe that? I mean we can now tell in less than 2 week?!?! Anyway, shortly after (2 years to be exact) my parents divorced. My dad (or as I referred to for a long time as the “Sperm Donor” because he was never worthy enough to be called DAD) was an alcoholic so they divorced. My mom re-married when I was like 5 or 6 to a nasty man. He ended up sexually abusing me so they divorced when I was around 12. It was a horrible situation, but it has truly made the person I am today. I used to be shy and hold stuff in. Now, I don’t hold anything in. I’m ridiculously honest! Some say its my downfall, but I just tell it how it is! OK maybe I should think before I talk sometime, but what can ya do?!?! Anyway, I was a cheerleader in high school and loved every minute of it. I was also the “married” girl in high school. I had two serious boyfriends (one for 2 years and the other for 2 years). The second one was one year older than me so he had gone away to college in Kansas City when I was a senior in high school. Not wanting to completely follow him to college, I began looking at other colleges close by. I ended up getting accepted to William Jewell College in Liberty, MO (which is only like 20 minutes from KC) However, the summer before I left for college, I broke up with my boyfriend because he cheated on me. Had the best summer of my life! College was a blast. I cheered for 2 years and then quit so I could work because I was flat a*s broke!! I also became a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Because of the friendships I made at college, I stayed in Kansas City during the summers and now permanently live here!! After college, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with my life. All my friends were getting jobs and I had no idea what I was going to do. I went to school for psychology and began looking into criminal psychology and then the FBI. I quickly realized that you had to have 3 years of experience in a “related” field so I reluctantly joined the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department. The academy was surprisingly the best time! I was in the shape of my life when I graduated. I didn’t realize that I would love this job as much as I do. FBI is not completely out of the picture, but the feds, like the military, I would have to move and don’t really want to do that. Which brings me to my hubby! I met him at work obviously, we are both cops! When we first met we both were dating other people and I was still in training. After a while we started hanging out more and more and eventually it became a full blown relationship. Fast forward 8 months and we were living together!!! I was so scared, but just knew he was THE one!!!! A year and a half later we were engaged and a year and a half later we got married, October 1, 2005!!! DH did 3 years on our SWAT team which he loved dearly. He recently switched to a desk job to have a more reliable schedule in an attempt to have a normal schedule for a baby. So since it’s taking so long he’s stuck in a desk job that I know he doesn’t really like, but is doing it for us. God Love Him!!! I work as a detective in the Assault Squad. We handle all the shootings/stabbing/beatings for the entire city – so to say the least I am extremely busy! Some days I love my job and other days I HATE it! Oh well, it pays the bills. Overall, I am happy with my job and it’s never a boring day! Our parents have been pushing us to have a baby since before we were even married. So August 2007 we stopped preventing and I’d say about January 2008 we really started trying and now here we are…still trying!!! DH is getting a SA on Sept 3rd. We are hoping that we won’t need that test and I’ll get my BFP by then!!!!!! So that’s me in a nutshell….hope you enjoyed!
