I want to apologize that I havent been around yesterday and today! I have had some interesting thing going on.

First we had absolutely no power at all yesterday after 10AM. So I had no computer...hence no way of getting on the internet.

Then today we had an Injections class so we can start injectables next cycle. It was so interesting and I learned so much. I wanted to share some of the stuff I learned today....I hope it helps. First I found out something incredibly interesting....apparently you only release 6 eggs a year (not every follie has an egg) and sometimes not all of them are mature. This is of course without medical assistance but seriously...wow! Never new that! Also, everyone who is TTC should take "low dose" (Baby) Asprin every day. Its 81 mg asprin and there has been tons of studies done to show that this increases pregnancy by about 20%. Also men, no matter if they have infertility issues or not should be taking 3 vitamins every day. They should take the chewable Flinstones vitmans...yes flinstones....haha. They should take a Selenium tablet...my NP suggests the Orange flavor. And they should also take a Vitamin E pill every day. Nice huh....I was shocked at all this! I thought I knew alot but apparently not! haha Oh and of course Acupuncture can increase the chance of pregnancy by about 15%. Also, any girls with PCOS...you have a 50% higher chance of multiples than other couples...just an FYI.

Also if anyone wants to know any type of information on success rates with pregnancy and about any type of medical assistance I am pretty sure I have them all...all combinations! haha I also have galores of information on Injectables IUI and IVF...as well as sadly fetal reduction. I will say though that I am so excited to get this started. And so is DH our chances have gone from about 11% to close to 50%-80% with this different medication. Of course we are taking a way higher risk of getting multiples....but yeah as soon as AF shows we are on our way!! YAY!!! haha

Oh my goodness I had no idea on all of that information. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm definitely gonna discuss that with DH and the doc and see what they think. Still all very interesting!

Well, I wish you the best of luck and hope this truly works for ya!! And I'll keep ya in mind if we have to go that route!!!

Wow that's some great information there Alicia! Thanks for sharing that! I'll definitely be talking with my Dr and my DH about all the vitamins and the aspirin. I know some people shouldn't take aspirin (even the low dose), so I want to make sure it's ok before I start!

I'm so excited for you to be starting the next steps of your journey! It sounds like you have some really good odds in your favor and I hope that it works on the first try!!!

Very cool. I've tried to get DH to take vitamins, but no go yet.

I'm thinking I'll let him pick some out at the store this weekend. Mayve if he picks his own he'll eat them.

Wow, lots of great info. My Dh was very vitamin averse. I finally got him to take a fish oil supplement a day plus a multivitamin every other day. Then I used to slip L-carnitine (supposed to help with sperm motility) into his cookies.

Good luck with injectibles!

VERY interesting. I take Selenium to lower my thyroid anti-bodies, a multi, and C, but will add E as well. DH takes a ton of vits, but NO selenium. He will now! I mean, right now. I'm going to get him one of mine!

ETA: MEN!! EVEN BABY FEVERED MEN!

I just handed him a selenium and a drink and I said, "this is selenium. You will now take it."

He looked at me straight on and said, "What do I get out of it?"

I said, "HOPEFULLY A BABY!"

He said, "that's all?"

He was so joking but whyyyyyyyyyyy does he joke about TTC?
