i think i'm going to join you!!!

some of you may know me from the ttc board but my name is rebecca. dh is brad we have a 3 year old named ashton. i was on depo for two years about. from the time he was born until august 2004 when my last shot should have "worn off". my cycles are all screwed up. i bled like a stuck pig while on depo and now that i'm off i dont hardly bleed at all but when i do it is a heck of alot. i had my first af after depo the middle of june and it lasted 3 weeks. i was just happy to get a period at that point. then i didnt have another one until October 16th and that one lasted a week and went away for a day and came back for about another week and a half or so. wouldnt you know i have only had two periods this year and the second af i got started the day before my anniversary. i know it takes a while to get back on track after depo so i'm hoping that is soon. i'm sick of the crazy cycles. i'm not really sure if i'm ovulating or not. i have never charted or anything but plan to start soon. in february it will have been 18 months since my last depo shot should have "worn off" so if i am not back on trach by then i will see a doctor and see if we cant get my af's regulated and make sure i'm ovulating. i would like to have one full cycle of charting before i go to the doctor. we are planning a big move to virginia here in about a month. brad is already there and ashton and i will be leaving at that time. pretty much thats it. i'll be looking forward to getting to know all of you and i hope all of your time is short here as well as my own.

Welcome Rebecca! I know you!!! I just love your little man he is sooo cute.

I was on depo for about 2 years I feel that is why it took me so long to get Pregnant also. I did not have AF when I was on the shot but it took a long time for my cycles to get back after I got off of it. I have been off the shot for about 3 years!!!!

Sorry you find yourself trying for so long, but glad you joined us!

I was on Depo for 5 years and OMG it was terrible!!! I went off for one year, back on for 6 months, but got pg in the 4th month! (I'd had some serious IV antibiotics right before and my progesterone could have been low--between the 2, the antibs lowering the effectiveness and increased prog., I was actually in a "good" position for pregnancy, perhaps!)

Good luck! 2 periods a year would seem like heaven any other time except when you're TTC, huh? I hate to wish it on you, but here's hoping for at least 12 a year!
