i took it for my first cycle in June. it wasn't as bad as i had heard it could be. everyone reacts different to it. i had some minor hotflashes, but nothing i couldn't handle. i know someone in the ttc board that had horrible headaches, but she took some motrin and was ok. so don't worry too much about it. i also took it from cd 3 to cd7. i did get pregnant on my first round, but sadly it ended in m/c. i will be using it again on my first cycle back ttc in October. I hope it is just what you need to get pregnant. Good Luck!!!

if you have any other questions, PM and i'll try to help.

I took Clomid in May June and July. As far as side effects even on 150mg I really didnt have much. I had some mild hot flashes and was extremely tired after the first few days also, but that was it. No mood swings, nothing.
In May I started on 50mg of Clomid on CD 3-7 and didnt respond well so they gave me another round of 100mg on CD 12-16. I had 2 mature follicles on the same side but it sadly ended in a BFN.
In June I started on 100mg Clomid on CD3-7 and again didnt respond well, but took another round of 150mg on CD12-16. I had a 24mm follie that cycle and they thought for sure I would get pg, again sadly BFN.
In July I started on 150mg Clomid on CD3-7 I had a mild response so they told me to wait a few days and then come in for another US, no second dose. Well sometime between my first U/S and second I Od on my own. Obviously this cycle ended in a BFN.
Now we are on an unmedicated cycle and will start Injections and do an IUI as soon as I get AF. Which I hope is sooner rather than later.
Good Luck! I hope it works for you! If you have any other questions let me know! I am always here to help!

I did my first and what will be only cycle with clomid this past cycle. I was on 50mg from CD3-7 and reacted well to it at first. I started off with 4 follies but by the time I was ready for the HcG shot to O I only had 1 viable one (22mm). I had really bad headaches and mood swings and some hot flashes but it doesn't sound like that is the norm for everyone. The clomid contributed to having a thin lining (6mm) though so our IUI's didn't take and we ended up with a BFN. Our RE wants us to move right on to either Femara or injectables this next cycle but I hear lots of success stories with clomid. I hope it works for you!

THANKS everyone for your advice and support! I sure hope I don't have mood swings as a S/E. I seem to be having them more often than not! I'm sure it's due to stress of ttc, and starting classes again. I wish you all luck too! I'm so thankful to have you all to talk to!!!
