Woot Woot!!!

YAY! I'm so happy right now.. My DH is an ET-RSS (basically he's a radioman on submarines), Well he got in a car accident in Sept 06 and really screwed up his back. After serving on his sub for 8 months he was put on Limdu (limited duty) and from there he was sub-disqualified (because of his back and medication). Well he still wanted to stay in the Navy but he had to crossrate to a shore rate. So about 2 months ago he started the SLOW process of cross-rating.

WELL.... his conversion packet FINALLY got approved!!!!!... YAY! We are leaving Virginia (I HATE it here with a passion)!!.. He has to report to Pensacola Florida for "A" School.. We don't know when yet because we haven't received "official orders", but we're hoping it won't be until after the new year. We need some time to get things situated. Hopefully it works out in our favor, last time we PCS'd (permanent change of duty station) we only got 2 weeks notice.

Oh wow April! That's exciting that everything is going well with your DH and his job transfer! That's awesome! I hope you get some time before you need to move and everything! Congrats to you both! I hope this is the beginning of many good things to come!!!

Awesome. I hope it brings you new opportunities too! I hope they don't rush you guys. Do you have family in Florida? Are you prepared for the hurricanes/evacuations.

Christina-- nope no family in Florida.. My family lives in CT and DH's family lives in KS.. I'm hoping we'll miss hurricane season since we should only be there for 6 months.

YAY!!! I am glad you are happy about the transfer....I hope this is the begining of many great things for you! So do you know where you will end up after Florida then?
