Hello all!

I haven't been on much... lurking some but trying to give myself a good break from JM. This month marks a year since I got pregnant with the baby I lost. It would be so great to get a BFP this month and a fresh start!

We finally went to see an infertility specialist on the advice of my OB. I really liked him. He was blunt and to the point. He told us it's not a matter of "if" but "when" we will have another baby. He doesn't believe that the problem is with DH, but does believe it may be a result of my D&C. The first thing he wanted me to do is start temping. I have been avoiding that b/c i didn't want to obsess, but I went out and bought a BBT on THursday after my appt and have been temping since. So I'm officially charting now- I don't know what I am doing yet but I know there's a learning curve. Tomorrow I go in for an HSG to see if I have any blockage or lesions from my D&C. He wants to monitor me for 2-3 cycles with my temping and said our next course of action will probably be to take Femara. He thinks it has better success than clomid. He said we will work thru the issues until we figure out what works. The only bad part of everything is that we are out of pocket for EVERYTHING b/c our insurance doesn't help with infertility at all. So tomorrow alone will cost us around $1500.. yikes! I hope it's all worth it and I get a BFP in a few weeks. I am feeling very hopeful for the first time in a LONG time!

Hope you all are doing well! I'll try to check in and let you all know how it goes.
~Amber

I'm glad that you're working towards some answers hopefully! I hope that you don't have to get too in depth with fertility tests and things so you won't be spending a fortune. Thanks for the update and good luck!

Good luck! I hope your hsg goes well. You may want to look into the insurance thing. I don't want to get your hopes up, but my insurance plan doesn't pay for infertility stuff according to the rule book. They paid for my hsg though. My doc said that a lot of insurance plans will cover diagnostic, but not treatment. DH and I were pleasantly surprised when insurance picked up the bill for my hsg.
