I knew Af was going to show today so I called OB and got booked in for a fertility consult in 5w!

I then called my reg dr who sees me for all my pg's and she suggested I come see her tomorrow for a referal to the new fertility clinic that opened 2 months ago just 1 and 1/2 hours away! The next closest one is 8 hours away.

So I called the clinic to see what the wait list is and they said I should get in the day after referal since they are so new and not all booked up!

I was wondering since the clinic nurse commented that ladies with RPL also see RE's Does the RE count from when you started to TTC as cycle one even if you had pg and m/c or do they count cycle one after every new pg and m/c.

If they count from first cycle ttcing then I am at cycle 10 now trying.

My last baby took 12 months if you count the 3 m/c I had back to back and last one again at 17w before I finally had a sticky pg with him.

an RE will see you after any amount of time of ttc after recurrent loss.... so you should have no issue there. I went to my RE after ttc for 3 months, and 2 losses being in that time period, as well as a previous loss.

good luck!

cherylK, I am so very sorry for your losses

I asked my Dr today and she pretty much said what you said.
I really hope your on your way to sticky BFP!!!

I have just never had the chance to see a RE till now unless I travled 8 hours 1 way and stayed over and not to sound like that is a lot to ask because most ladies I know would be packing by now but logisticly it would very difficult for us at this point. Not to mention the repeat visits if we need to be seen regular.

Now that this RE has set up shop only 1 and half hours away my Dr was excited to refere us

Thanks for the well wishes ladies!

I travel about an hour to my DR too- but 8 hours I couldn't do either- and I think anyone can understand that, especially when you work on call and have 8 children! I don't know how you can do that!

I saw my RE so many times in the first month- the 1 hour commute was bad enough.

I hope the RE can help you! I'll keep you in my T&P.
