Hi Y'all,

Just wondering how much harder it is to get preggers while smoking cigs?

I've cut back to 1 a day, and I'm ready to quit, it's just so hard to NOT smoke when I get stressed or upset!

I would never smoke if I was pregnant, but I just figure I have until then to quit..

I'm not sure if it would make it harder to conceive or not, but I would definitely quit as soon as possible. You want to make a nice home for your baby to grow in and that should start before you even get pregnant! I hope you have great success in quitting and also in getting pregnant!! Good luck to you!

I don't know the answer to this question either, I'm sorry. Obviously quitting is easier said than done... did you cut back to one pack a day or one cigarette a day? There's a big difference there LOL. If your stressed, do what you have to, to relieve that stress... TTC is stressful enough. Try to find alternatives for relieving your stress... A little day by day and I'm sure you can do it! Good Luck!

ideally you should quit 3 months before ttc so all the toxins (pestasides, poisons and preservatives) can get washed out of your body. If you're up for it doing a water or juice fast for 2-5 days would aalso really help rinse your body out.

Good for you for trying to quit! I stoped smoking almost 18 months ago- and it was so hard, but I feel so much better now!

I'm down to 1 cigarette a day (not one pack lol) And I think I'm definately just about to quit because now when I smoke that 1 cig, first of all it's gross, but second - I think of a little baby and how if I was pregnant or going to be pregnant soon I definately wouldn't want a baby to have those chemicals or toxins in her first stages of life (yes, I'm hoping for a girl!!)

Plus smoking is starting to make me nausiated! YUCK!
