Our TTC story:
Not long after getting married we decided to start TTC, as we knew we wanted kids when we were young and we didn't know how long it could take. Thankfully, we started when we did, otherwise we'd still be trying. After a few cycles of just BDing like crazy, I did some research and found JM. I learned about BBT charting and short LPs. I bought a BBT and start charting, realizing I have a short LP and short cycles. We tried OPKs, pre-seed, instead cups and lots of different herbal/vitamin remedies. I would occasionally temp, but it really stressed me out, so I stopped. Finally after about 13 cycles of TTC, I found us a RE in our city and booked an appointment. Our first consultation was for January 9, 2008. He went over treatments and possible problems. Since we were insuranceless he decided the least expensive route for us, which was CD 3 bw, u/s and S/A. So the next cycle I went for my BW and then went to his office for the first u/s and DH brought in his S/A, which the RE said looked fine/normal....unfortunately my U/S wasn't. He found a cyst on my ovary and didn't want to start me on Femara. So had to wait till next cycle for another u/s. We decided to try ourselves. Next cycle came and the darn cyst was still there....so this time he put me on BCP, not want I wanted at all, so we were out a cycle. When back after the one pack of BCP was over and the cyst was finally smaller, still there but smaller and he decided to give us the prescription for the Femara! We were so excited, finally after 3 cycles of waiting for this we got it! He even gave me a slightly higher first dose as well, so I had hope that it would do the trick and help us conceive our long awaited miracle.
Our success story:
Finally....after 18 long cycles of TTC baby #1, the last cycle being my first on Femara, we finally did it!!! We made a baby!!! We got pregnant!!!!!! I got a BFP on a digi on 4-29-08 and my EDD is January 9, 2009, a year after the first appointment with the RE, freaky huh? I had my HCG drawn and it was 10.1 and then 2 days later it was 40. And then about 2 weeks later we went to the RE for an u/s to make sure there was indeed a baby and sak, which there was!
On July 26, 2008, we found out we are having a BOY~!

I miss this board, I used to host it with Brandy and then with Jamielynn. I wish you ladies all the best luck and baby dust in the world. I know TTC is NOT easy. I admit it was the hardest 18 cycles of my life. I would cry whenever AF would show or when I found out relatives were prego that weren't trying...but I wouldn't be where I am today and I am so thankful and blessed to be pregnant with this lil miracle baby boy~! I know from the help of Femara, constant prayers and positive thinking today helped bring us steps closer to this baby we longed, prayed and dreamed for. I can't wait for all you ladies to get your long awaited BFPs and be pregnant. It's honestly the coolest/best/greatest thing in the world! I love it and I love our baby boy we created~
