Has anyone been to the doctor and explained to them that they usually have a normal AF, but lately it has been coming late and you get a BFN?

I'm curious because I've always been regular. I went off my bf in January (it only took me 2-3 months to get back to normal). So since about March I've had AF at the same time each month. Last month I was 10 days late. I did go to the doctor for a blood test, but they didn't really explain or refer me to a OB/GYN.

This month I am late again (more than 10 days). I haven't tested for fear of BFN. I can't handle that right now. I know I don't feel pregnant (I know some don't).

So, Just wondering if anyone has been to a doctor and the doctor give them a good reason for late periods besides the usual (diet, exercise, stress, etc). Has anyone found out they had a slight problem and had to take meds or something to fix it?

Thanks for your help!

No I haven't discussed this with a Dr, but I think we have all experienced the witch completely toy with us the minute we decided to TTC. Seriously, there are lots of gilrs here who were regular before they started TTC and then when they start it goes out of whack.

I'm sorry I can't help you... my cycles are always dead on or early! Toni's right- there are lots of girls who has normal cycles pre-ttc and now they are dealing with all sorts of confusing stuff. I hope you can get this figured out soon!!! Good luck!

Well until this month (first month with clomid) I would have spotting before the show of AF. It increasingly got longer that I would spot. Once I went to my OB he put me on the clomid and I haven't gotten AF yet - and I expected her as late as today (I really don't think we have the chance of a BFP this month).

I've been like clockwork all my life, so when I'm even 3 days late I'm like "what's up with that". When I went to the doc back in February/March because I was cramping like never before and AF was late by 3 days....I was concerned about a tubal or something, that's how I found JM cuz I was doing research.....the doctor said it was because of my age and that because I'm getting older my body is changing. I thought it was a load of bull then and I still think so, but I hate to admit that he may have a point.

I can't help... Ever since I came off birth control pills (3 years ago!), my cycle can vary up to 7 or 8 days. Very annoying grrrrr.

Well. I cheated. I tested and got a BFN On to 11 months of TTC!

I'm gonna schedule a doc appt to find out what they can do since I'm all of a sudden late each month. Grr. Figures, the same time you start trying and BAM - late AF's. Crazy.
