So tomorrow I go for my HCG so I can get my HSG on friday. What should I expect. They said I have to do a fleet enema a couple of hours before my test. How is that??

I don't know much about the HSG, but I wanted to pop in and wish you luck. I've heard that it's not too bad pain-wise (but I haven't had one, so I don't know).

I have heard several stories otehr than mine that have been worse, but . . . I had mine about a month ago and I didn't feel a thing, no pain pressure, nothing. I did take 2 Aleve an hour before I had it done. I think the most uncomfortable part was trying to turn on my side with the speculum in. Other than that it wasn't bad at all. I can say though, I didn't have any blockages or abnormalities, so that might be the difference. Good luck, I hope you get some answers and you soon!

Well I have had one done. I have no idea what a fleet enema is though....so I cant tell you much about that.

As far as the HSG though, take 2 tylenol an hour before the test and you should be fine. I did have some big camping during the procedure it self, and then some mild cramping after, but the Tylenol really helps. Also, be sure to bring or wear a pad to the Dr. They provide you one usually, but man the one they give you is like wearing a diaper! Anyways, you will probably leak some dye after the test and may even bleed slightly but dont worry too much about it! All in all the procedure took about 30 minutes for me and was relatively easy.
