Ok so I had my 3rd follie check of this cycle today. Well Mike came with me, we went in and started the U/S. I knew as soon as I looked at the screen that things were ALOT BIGGER!! haha Anyways, I was a little worried about it still, but before the tech left he said "Well there are definitely some mature ones today"

So....
...
...
...
... I have 3 mature follies on my left ovary, and 1 close to mature on my right. I also had 8 other potential follies that were between 10mm and 17mm. I dont know the size of the mature ones yet, I am still waiting on that. Anyways, they took my blood to check Estrogen levels, and if all goes well and the levels are safe....which the RE thought they would be, we will trigger tonight and our IUI will be Saturday morning!! YAY!!! You have no idea how excited I was to finally get some good news! haha

I will update more when I get the results back this afternoon!! Thanks for all the prayers girls, they must have worked!!

Stupid question from the semi-newby. Is a follie (Follicle) an egg? Or is it a fertilized egg (waiting to see if it "sticks")? Thanks for the help! The more I know the better!

Sorry I didnt see this earlier hun!!! There is no stupid question either!! haha Anyways, a follicle is what holds an egg. Each person has lots of follicles on their ovaries and the follicles house the egg and aid in its growth process until it is mature. Once it is mature the follicle will rupture and the egg will be released.... The O pains that you see people talking about is usually actually the follicle rupturing to release the egg. I hope that helps!!
