Like Christina, who is doing the positive thinking and visualization thing this cycle in hopes that it will get her a well deserved BFP, I have decided to join her in that thought process. I've sometimes done the visualization thing in the past and I'm usually a pretty positive person, so I figured why not go all out this cycle.
So DH and I BDed this morning and as I was laying there with my butt propped up, I started my visualization. It went great at first... imagining the spermies making their way to the eggie, and them BAM! What do I start to picture? The opening sequence of the movie "Look Who's Talking".... The one where they show the sperm and egg meeting, fertilizing, implanting etc. I haven't seen that movie in such a long time, but I could picture it clear as day. That lead my mind to wander to other movies and it snowballed from there. Of course I started laughing and I woke up DH. I felt like such a dork. What do you do after you BD? Oh me? I imagine the beginnings of cheesy movies from the late 1980s.  I need to work on my focusing skills apparently! At least it didn't happen while we were BDing!

Our TTC journey: 6 cycles Clomid, lap surgery/ D&C, IUI, 2 x IVF; 33 cycles- BFN.
IVF#1 (March 2010) Transferred two 8-cell grade A (perfect) embies- BFN and heartbroken.
IVF#2/FET#1 (Jan/Feb 2011):Transferred two (7&8 cell) grade A (PERFECT) embies- BFN again.
March 2011- February 2012: On BCP due to endometriosis.
March 2012- taking a few months off of BCP and we are TTC naturally.
We will re-evaluate another IVF w/FET try in 2013.

You know, that is now what I am going to think about next time! LOL!
I made a sign for myself and clipped it to my lamp on my beside table. It says (if you care to know) "Positive Thinking! Visualize! You will be pregnant! It will happen soon! Have Faith - God will Reward!" Every time I walk in my bedroom I see it, I see it when I wake up in the morning and I see it when I go to bed at night. I hope it is helping.
But next time we BD - I am going to think of LWT! LOL!

What is even worse, is when you and DH are laughting uncontrollably during the BD. It can be very hard to get back on track!!!

Sorry Christina! I hope you don't end up with visions of LWT running through your head! I do like the idea of the sign by your bed! That must really be a great boost for you! I'm probably going to steal that idea (if you don't mind!) Anything can help at this point! Maybe if it's there, I can glance over it when my mind heads off to John Travolta movies when I should be visualizing! LOL

I've heard of that book! Maybe I should pick it up! I hope that we all get our BFPs so we can clear this board out and move on to DDCs!

Yeah, a few weeks ago, I almost fell off the bed and we were laughing so hard it was hard to finish the job! We somehow managed though! LOL. You have to admit, having funny BD time is a nice change sometimes!

Steal away. It is a nice reminder when I get busy doing other things. I usually use our master bathroom instead of our guest bathroom so I walk by that sign a number of times a day. And surprisingly I am not obsessing over it - yet at least.
