HI everyone... since I posted last my DH and I have both been to the Dr. I went for my 21 day labs and a pelvic ultra sound. My DH took his little guys to the fertility clinic yesterday. Neither one of use have gotten the results back yet.

When I went for my ultrasound the tech told me that it looked like I should be ovulating anytime.. the following day my digital ovulator said I was ovulating (that was on Friday).. This morning I woke up and I can barely go an hour without getting sick..

My questions are....
1. Isn't day 23 a little late to be ovulating when I am on a regular cycle of 28-30days (last month I ovulated on day 18).
2. Do you think 4 days after ovulating is a little too soon to get morning sickness?
3. If I am ovulating that late in my cycle is it possible to start my period even though I could be pregnant?

I am scheduled for a HSG on Oct 14th and they want me to come in for lab work on day 3 of my cycle...
I had a friend who went in for an HSG and they told her all was well.. when she went to a fertility speciaist they told her her HSG showed pooling... why didn't the GYNO see this?

Thanks for listening and any info or insight is greatly appreciated.

That is pretty late to O for a "normal" cycle. If you were going for labs on progesterone, you should have gone 7 days after ovulating to give a proper reading of the progesterone. So if you just ovulated then you might not get the correct readings. I hope that makes sense.

Good luck though - I hope you get your results back quickly.

My questions are....
1. Isn't day 23 a little late to be ovulating when I am on a regular cycle of 28-30days (last month I ovulated on day 18).
- It is a bit late, but your O day can change from cycle to cycle. Maybe you have an LP defect the reason why there could be issues TTC??
2. Do you think 4 days after ovulating is a little too soon to get morning sickness?
- It really is impossible to have morning sickness that early. Often pg symptoms can seem like they could be cuz you are watching more what your body does. But after TTC for the last 11 months, I tend to have what seems like morning sickness, super tired, cramping, sore boobs, the works, but its just a sign that I HAVE indeed Oed. It has to do with the change of hormones. And you can feel that way again closer to AF too cuz the hormones are once again changing.
3. If I am ovulating that late in my cycle is it possible to start my period even though I could be pregnant?
if you Oed later, likely your period would come later. It not so much the length of the WHOLE cycle at this point. You want to make it to 14DPO or later. If you have an LP issue some docs feel that an LP (time from O till AF) issues is anything less than 12 days, some say 10. I personally have had LPs anywhere from 9 to 16 days.

HOpe that helps.

Good luck!

I just want to add that your cycle can definatly change from month to month. However usually only the first part of your cycle, called the follicular phase, is the part that will change. You LP usually stays the same. So- if you O late, your cycle will just be longer.

Thanks for all of the responses... I'm now just waiting to see when my cycle starts then go in for labs on day 3 of my cycle... normally my cycles are 28-30 days and I'm on day 29 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed..
