Last cycle I had the stomach flu and wasn't able to put my temps into FF for a few days. I had written them down, but I really wasn't up for getting online to do anything with them. Somehow I got lazy and waiting a whole week before putting any temps in. This was during my waiting-to-O/Oing/early post O days. Once I got around to putting the temps in, I got my crosshairs and found out that my BD timing turned out really great. (I knew it should have since I O around the same day every cycle). I felt happy that I didn't find myself checking FF everyday to see what it would tell me.
This cycle, I kind of did the same thing (minus the stomach flu Thank Heavens!). Once we started the BD-fest last week, I stopped putting my temps into FF. I'm fairly confident that I've already O'd (my body sends me definite signs), but we're still BDing to be sure! (After 15 cycles we definitely want to cover our bases). I think I was able to enjoy the BDing even more without my chart looming in the back of my head.
I'm probably just crazy, but I figure if something will help keep me relaxed, it's worth a shot. I definitely don't want to stop temping, but I think that if I don't get pregnant this cycle, I'll be holding out on putting my temps in until a few days after my supposed O date. We've tried to be as stress free about baby-making as possible from the beginning. I think this just might help me!!! Of course, once I put my temps in and am in my 2ww, checking FF for temp rises is another story for me! LOL

That sounds like a great idea. I never thought I would feel this way, but BD feels like a chore when you know it's now or never.

Thanks Lynda! I don't know if I got CH's yet as I will probably wait until tomorrow to put my temps into FF... hopefully they'll be there with no issues!

BDing was never really a "chore" for DH and me, but it was nice to actually have visions of my FF Chart running through my head!

LOL... I see, you're keeping the good info to yourself, huh? Just kidding! I feel bad that my chart isn't always updated around my O time, but if it helps me out a bit, it's worth it! Hopefully this new Stress-busting idea will help us both Ashley!!!

Stress free sounds like a good path.
The good news is that the July DDC is right next door to the June DDC. Hope to bump into you there soon.

That's good & I hope it works for you, Cris!! I've made up my mind that if I O within a day or two of the last two cycles (MUCH more predictable now that I'm on meds), I will not temp at all next cycle. I don't write them down-- I plug them in as soon as I get to work that morning, and I don't want to change that routine by just jotting them down somewhere. I think I'll hold off on charting and quit completely! I hope I don't make it to next cycle though.

I agree! I am not temping this month-- all reality is that I lost my BTT! But even with all the medical stress, I'm not so stressed!!!

That sounds like a good plan for you Jackie! I hope that you won't need to be temping anymore cause you'll be pregnant, but if you do need to, it sounds like you'll have one less stress to deal with!

That's too funny Michelle! Maybe it was a good thing that you lost your BBT, someone's way of keeping you stress-free! Hopefully we all won't need to worry about this all after this cycle!!

I'm sorry your sick and that your temps aren't so great! I hope you start feeling better soon! I'm glad that you're having less stress though!
I finally put my temps in on Wed, and I was very happy to see my CH's right where they should be!!! Now onto the dreaded wait. But I'll try to keep busy so I'm not so stressed!!! I'm really starting to like my new method with temping!
