I know it's not good to discard temps, but...........

DH turned the heat off in the house yesterday (I didn't know this until this morning) so our house is at leat 5 degrees colder than normal. I was expecting my temp to be up this morning, since I think I Oed on Monday and was hoping to have those beautiful CH on Thursday morning. But now, since this drop in temp it's not going to happen for another day or two. I really think it's a bogus temp and wonder if I should discard it since it'll throw my O date off by two days (today) and I really don't think I'm Oing today. My O pains show up 2-3 days before O and those happened Friday and Saturday which is way too early for it to be today. I know, I'm babbling now. So, what do ya think? Should I discard it?

I agree with Lynda. I've had times where my house was warmer or colder than usual, and it honestly didn't affect my BBT. Maybe I'm just weird though. I know you had a spike which might show you O'ing Monday, but the temp isn't as high as your pre-O temps even, so I'm not convinced you O'd. I hope I'm wrong, but just food-for-thought-- Clomid makes me have very intense O pains for days (5 or 6) and I've also read that if you O regularly on your own, Clomid might make you O a little later. Just another reason I'm not convinced you O'd. Like I said though, I hope I'm wrong and you get a huge spike tomorrow morning! Sorry I'm not very much help!

I'm no chart expert, so I won't even venture a guess as to what you should do! I do want to let you know that like Jackie, the temps in the house really don't effect my temps too much. I live in the Northeast on top of a mountain and the temps change constantly. I also noticed it when I would stay at my in-laws and they keep their house very warm (My FIL is on blood thinners and is always cold). I haven't noticed any significant changes in my temps.

Hopefully you'll be able to figure it out!!!

I wouldn't discard it - it doesn't seem that low from what you had. I would wait and see what happens. If you do end up playing with your chart, mark you temp in the notes box and save it so if you decide to put it back in you won't forget.

YO ucould still plot it and leave it, and if need be discard it later??

My temps are all over due to being sick. Im not plotting them all, but putting them in the notes section so I can remember if I need to.
