Well I seen Dr yesterday and he wants to continue with the plan to do clomid BUT he has decided to do the clomid challange as well. I am doing the same doseage 100mg but cd 5 to 9 instead of 3 to 7 like last time.

For those of you have done the challange do you recall your number's.

FSH,LH and Estradiol

My last test at cd 3 for Fsh was 7 a couple months ago. Hsays this will be more acurate with the clomid.

I did the challenge this month. I don't know most of my results. I do know my first FSH was 3. I know I passed everything according to my doc, but I think I should get the numbers from her for future reference.

I did the clomid challenge test this month for the first time. I have an apt tomorrow at 10:30 to go over all the results of the bloodwork from the month. I'll let you know my levels of everything. This is all new to me!

How did you get your doctor to start treating you so soon??

Jenn,
I am unsure what you mean as so soon but here what happened.

We ttced for 5 LONG LONG yrs with not one single pg from age 24 to 29 and to my shock 6 weeks before my 30th birthday I tested BFP.

We were able to achieve the next few pg's pretty normal ttcing time per my age. Then I was ttcing for 1 yr with my now 3 yr old and was after testing showed to be annov given clomid. It worked after 4 cycle. I then got pg.

I was ONLY tested and looked at asap(after 1 yr ttcing) because of my proir 5 yrs ttcing with no pg. I was a young 34 then.

So after my 3 yr old was born...
I got pg and m/ced at 6w no meds.
I got pg again and m/ced at 6w no meds.
I got pg again and m/ced to our shock at..17w. twins 11w and 17w fetal demise. No meds. I had him at home and bled out and need a emerg 3 unit blood transfusion and d&c to stop the blood loss.

My 2nd pg was also a m/c at 12 w with d&c after for retained placenta.

I got pg again and had a healthy baby boy whom twin was m/ced at 9w. No meds

I then got pg again and this past April 15th at exactly 17w I was induced to deliver my perfect baby girl who passed away at 16w. I had a d&c after for retained placenta.

Then it took only about 3 month for first af to even show with tons of spotting and bleeding almost nonstop with no O in site. My reg dr did tests and all looked ok. 12w spot/bleed was a mystry.

I then continued to chart from April till Sept and My reg dr didnt like my annov crappy cycle and refered me to RE 5 weeks ago and to our shock we got in 48 hours later and set up the clomid plan but was tranfered back to my OB who did my clomid 4 yrs ago.

When I went to pick up my clomid for this cycle he decided he wanted to do the clomid challange due to my LONG unexplained infert/m/c history.

I am 38 and he said enough is enough no more wasteing time waiting cycle to cycle to see if I will work properly again when clearly I have a infert history and we may need to be more agressive.

That sums up how I got my dr to start treating me so soon. It took many long fusterateing yrs of infertility and 5 m/c and 7 babies lost to establish what appers to be a speedy treatment now.

My history in a nut shell. PG , PGw/m/c 12w, PG, PG, TTC 5 yrs, PG, PG, PG, TTC 1 yr clomid PG, PG w/m/c 6w, PG w/m/c 6w, PG twins both died born at 17w, PG lost 1 twin 9w, PG baby died at 16w born at 17w, ....TTCing again as it been 1 yr in Dec we have been trying for a *live* baby.

Yes, the babies have been autopsyed and placenta's and I have been through Genitic/blood clotting disorder's test's. Everyting is 100% normal and NO cause of fetal demise can be found. All babies died proir to m/c. There is no medical explanation and that = no medical protical when PG except Prayer.

Infertiliy as my DR puts is about failure to achieve not only a pg but a live birth. The results in the end is exactly the same...empty arms

Hmmm. I was given Clomid at my very second doctor appt at the OBGYN (not an RE). My bloodwork was all normal. He told me to take mine CD 5-9. I wonder if the CD 3-7 does produce more babies?! That would be okay too!! He told me there is only a 5% change of having twins using Clomid. I don't get to start the meds until my next cycle which should be the first or second week of November. I haven't picked up the Clomid yet, I'm hoping we conceived on our own this month but I'm currently on my 2WW.

Do you think they tested the FSH, LH and Estradiol during my first round of bloodwork? Do you think they will test those things again after I've tried Clomid for a couple months?

My first time on clomid I was given 50 mg and my cd 21 P4 was only 8 or 9 so he uped it to 100 mg ..all those cycle I did cd 3 to 7.

The Clomid Challange is a fertility test only. It not a fertility treatment at this point so it is always done cd 5 to 9 with the 2 blood tests infact your P4 is Never even tested with the Clomid challange. Where if you were takeing clomid for fertility it is useally always tested.

The Clomid Challenge basicly determins IF just useing clomid will be ok or IF other treatments may be better based on Overian reserve.

MY DR is killing one bird with 2 stones so to speak..Get me started on clomid AND do the Clomid Challange to check my Ovarian Reserves so we dont waste more time if JUST clomid wont work.

However since it is a fertility drugs some ladies do get pg dureing the Challange.
