Well today my DH and I had our "plan of treatment" appt at our RE's office. He went over the results of the clomid challenge that I did. It turns out that i have diminished ovarian reserve. Basically my eggs are dying quicker than a normal person my age. He said that my uterus is also enlarged, my left tube is blocked (which I knew) and it all ties into the endometriosis, and DOR. This new revelation added to my DH's low sperm count/quality, he said that other than a miracle, IVF is our only option for conception. He wants me to have Laproscopy for the endo first before the IVF. He also said that most likely I will go through early menopause and that we only have about 5 years of good eggs left. So, I'm waiting to schedule the surgery and will go read the posts all about the laproscopy because I have NO clue what to expect!!!

I'm so sorry *hugs* Did he mention freezing eggs so you have them later? I think that's an option for some women when they get this diagnosis. I hope you're doing well.

I am sooo sorry. I am sure this is the last thing you wanted to hear! At least it sounds like you have a great RE and a solid plan of attack. You are in my prayers! - Juli

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about this! I hope that you'll be able to get right in to have the lap and then right onto your IVF and your BFP.

I am really sorry to hear this...BUT it does sound like you have a GREAT RE, and a good plan and I am SURE you will get your BFP soon!
I had a laparoscopy in 2001--and I got pregnant right after with my DD.
I can tell you what I remember from it--I went home from the hospital the same day, and really, my recovery was FINE. I slept for about 12 hrs straight after getting home---but then I was up and driving the next day.
I did have some abdominal pain, especially when coughing/walking, so holding a pillow over my tummy really helped.
I would say within 3-5 days I felt back to normal.

Alisa, I'm so sorry you had to get so much bad news at such a young age. You're in my T&P's!! Good luck with the surgery and the IVF (or frozen eggs if that's an option). KUP on your progress!
