Thanks, ladies. I found out just a few hours before I had to be at the airport that they wanted me down there. I booked the flight (which my aunt paid for because it was WAYYYYY too expensive and I knew that I wouldn't do any good down there, so sort of fought it), hurried to pack everything in a small carry-on, forgot court clothes, didn't testify anyway, found out that the people we were housesitting and dogsitting for came home early before DH could clean. Before they left, their hot water heater stopped working, but we reset it and it seemed to be ok. One day, I was using their microwave, took my food out, heard a pop, couldn't tell where it was coming from, and when I came back upstairs because of another loud pop, there was smoke everywhere. The microwave exploded. There was a huge puddle of water in their garage, but we didn't know where it was coming from. They came home early to this and lots of dishes and such everywhere because DH doesn't believe in cleaning as he goes. I still haven't been able to talk to them, but I hope they're not too angry. Down there, nothing was resolved, my dad treated me like crap, and my family seems to be slowly turning against me because I couldn't defend my dad. He won't own up to anything and they basically wanted me to lie that he was a great father, wonderful husband, etc. They all think that I'll end up with my baby sister, but no one wants me to have her yet--basically when my dad gets tired of her. Nice, huh?
There's more to it, but there's your quick update. My house could be a federal disaster area, so I think I'll take the time to clean it today. Woofreakinhoo.
I'm going to be in a better mood later...I promise.
