Well, tomorrow I go in for my first folliscan. If any are big enough then I'll trigger, if not then I go for another scan on Sunday. Financially, I'd like to trigger on Saturday so I don't need to do another scan, but lab and doctor wise, I'd rather trigger on Sunday. I'm just nervous that the lab on a Sunday won't do the sperm wash correctly AND I won't be able to have my normal doctor do the IUI procedure. So, I'm hoping for a Sunday trigger so I can't make sure I get the right personnel on Monday. I'm so scared that this isn't going to work. If it doesn't, I'm not sure if I can get DH to do another round of IUI and regardless of whether we do another or not.....if the IUI(s) don't work then we are done ttcing and headed towards adoption. I'm scared and trying not to stress about it.

How exciting! Try not to stress....HAHA...easier said than done, I know!

I hope you have great looking follies and are ready to trigger! Don't stress about the lab on Sunday, though, I am sure the people still know what they're doing! You sound like me, though---that is totally something that would cross my mind!

GOOD LUCK, KUP!

Good luck - we drive ourselves insane with the different "what ifs", don't we? I've played so many scenarios in my head regarding how the IVF might go for us and I haven't even started the cycle!! But one of the lessons I'm learning in this TTC journey is that I can't control everything (and especially not timing of all things), so I just need to let it go and realize that things will happen the way they are meant to happen. You can't force your body to be ready to trigger on one day or another, so I'd just accept that either is a possibility and focus on things you can control - like staying healthy, eating well, getting enough rest and trying to stay stress-free so that whatever day you trigger, your body is in perfect condition to get pregnant! Good luck and keep us posted!!

Good luck! I have talked to DH a lot about adoption. It may be the step after IUI for us as well.

She had trouble finding my left ovary, not new....the last time I had a transvaginal u/s they had trouble finding it as well. So, it's a good thing I told her I was having O pains from the right side so she started there. Since we couldn't find my left ovary, we also didn't see any mature follies from there. On the right side there were 4 follies with 2 of them being mature and by mature I mean 19mm and 22mm. So, I had my trigger shot today. It was funny, the nurse that did the injection "blessed" the syringe to do a good job. I have my IUI tomorrow, not sure of the time yet, since it's a Sunday I have to check with the doctor that's on-call to schedule a time. I sure hope this will work!

Thanks girls!! The IUI went well. The lab couldn't (or wouldn't) give me any numbers....before or after wash. All they would say, after the procedure, was that it looked good.....at least that's what the nurse told us after the doctor told her because he needed it for his dictation notes. I didn't feel the catheter inserted thru the cervix, but boy did I feel it when he hit the top of my uterus.....ouch! I've got a littel bit of cramping, but other than that everything went well and we are both hoping and praying that this works.

ETA: Not sure if twins would be a good idea. My doctor is very hopeful that we don't have multiples because with my age I'm already high risk and he doesn't want to add to it. We're just hoping for a sticky bean.
