Follow Up Updated

Well - it went better than I expected. Heck, I don't know what I expected.

Anyways, I have been diagnosed with PCOS. I thought I had the symptoms of it long ago and now have been officially diagnosed. Apparently I have some small cysts on my right ovary. He was going to give me a copy of the ultrasound but I walked out of there without it. Oh well - what is there to see, but an empty uterus and some ovaries with cysts on them.

I am going to start taking Metformin twice a day and when AF shows I start clomid on day 5 again. Same dose as before (50mg). I start the metformin tonight.

So there ya go. My update. Now I need to go make brownies for MNO and dinner for the family. French Onion Burgers, here I come. LOL

I'm sorry you have PCOS, but at least you know what you're dealing with and hopefully the meds you're on now will do the trick for you!

Never ever give up hope!!! can i ask what the metaformin will help with?

Metformin is an insulin drug actually. It is very often used to treat Type 2 diabeties, but since PCOS's sympotms are sometimes blood sugar/insulin related, they put patients on it. It should help with the cysts as far as I know and I am told it might help me loose some weight. Now if the side effects keep up, I can see how the weight is going to come of (side effects are diarrhea, upset stomach, etc).

I have renewed hope that we will be able to have more children. My SIL has PCOS and has 3 kids (4 pregnancies)! I am kinda hoping that it isn't this month though - I already bought the clomid (I am so stupid - I am like just starting my 2ww - my temp spiked up some more this morning!

I'm sorry about the PCOS diagnosis...but at least this gets you on the right "medical path" to a BFP! Now that the problem's been identified, you can treat it.
